It's just that something like 90% of the country now regrets doing it, Bush likely included.

Mojoman trumpled, Conquistador caricatured, pigtexxx uninspired, and okierocketslegend feigning competence...all seem lost.

Somewhere in NYC, basso sits ominously silent...

Help them basso, you're their only hope.

You know stuff is bad when Mitt Romney calls you a racist. Of course Trump thinks he's the least racist person you've ever seen so there's that.

Romney says Trump will change America with 'trickle-down racism'
    http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/10/politics/mitt-romney-donald-trump-racism/index.html

"I don't want to see trickle-down racism," Romney said in an interview here in a suite overlooking the Wasatch Mountains, where he is hosting his yearly ideas conference. "I don't want to see a president of the United States saying things which change the character of the generations of Americans that are following. Presidents have an impact on the nature of our nation, and trickle-down racism, trickle-down bigotry, trickle-down misogyny, all these things are extraordinarily dangerous to the heart and character of America."

Trump, speaking at a rally in Richmond, Virginia, Friday night, didn't address Romney's criticism directly but did say, "I am the least racist person, the least racist person that you've ever seen," a line he regularly says at campaign events.

I personally don't care whether Trump is or isn't racist beyond how it effects his policy. I still think it is funny that he believes that all he has to do is say something is true and it automatically becomes true.

I think Romney makes a really excellent point and I love the way he put it. "Trickle down racism" describes Trump's twisted view of America and race, and how the man as President would impact the country, perfectly, in my opinion.

I think that phrase trickle down racism is going to get a ton of play. It's very effective for use by Democrats and effective for use by Republicans. It's a killer phrase.

The Repubs are just pissed because Trump does not follow the playbook but serves up his racism uncoded. This is all sort of embarrassing for even the Koch Bros and the .1% types who normally call the shots.

Sounds a lot like the least racist guy I've ever seen.

Trump offers tongue-in-cheek apology for Pocahontas remark — to Pocahontas
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/loca...70e9fa-2f36-11e6-9b37-42985f6a265c_story.html

RICHMOND — A half-full coliseum erupted into Indian war whoops as Donald Trump called a U.S. senator “Pocahontas” Friday at a rally here, where the mogul-candidate was back to his teleprompter-free ways.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee expressed tongue-in-cheek remorse for calling Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) “Pocahontas,” a jab at her claim that she is of Native American descent.

Looks like we can safely add Native Americans to the list of ethnic groups that have been subjected to Trump's racist BS. It's a long trail of BS apparently.

Trump’s ‘Pocahontas’ attack leaves fellow Republicans squirming (again)
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...805d22-2f1f-11e6-9b37-42985f6a265c_story.html

Trump has repeatedly rejected the notion that he is playing to racial fears in his campaign. “I am the least-racist person that you’ve ever encountered,” he told The Washington Post on Thursday.

Trump has been accused of peddling Native American stereotypes in the past. In 1993, he created an uproar at a House subcommittee hearing by testifying that “organized crime is rampant” in Indian casinos around the nation. At the time, the developer was fighting the expansion of gambling on tribal lands, a direct threat to his casino empire.

Ditching a seven-page statement he planned to deliver as too “politically correct,” Trump claimed that he could keep mobsters out of casinos but that Native Americans would not be able to.

“That an Indian chief is going to tell Joe Killer to please get off his reservation is almost unbelievable to me,” he said, prompting objections from lawmakers and indignant scoffs from the audience.

Trump also questioned the legitimacy of the Mashantucket Pequots, who operate the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

“They don’t look like Indians to me,” he said. “And they don’t look like Indians to Indians.”

In 2000, he secretly financed newspaper ads in Upstate New York warning that a casino sought by the St. Regis Mohawk nation would attract criminals and drug users.

This spring, Trump has repeatedly tweeted about Warren’s *“phony Native American heritage.” He tried out the Pocahontas line in a May interview with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, who had asked about his feud with Warren. “You mean Pocahontas?” he replied.

He has continued to refer to her as “Pocahontas” on the campaign trail since then. A Cree reporter in North Dakota chastised him for use of the name, declaring, “That’s very offensive!”

I am far from being a Trump supporter although I will probably vote for him as the lesser of two evils now that he has posted his SCOTUS nominee list, but why in the world do you think anyone gives a rats butt what Mitt Romney thinks??? The guy could not beat the worst President in the history of this country in 2012. That makes him beyond irrelevant.

According to the State Department, the ISAB shall reflect a balance of backgrounds, points of view, and demographic diversity and shall include a wide variety of scientific, military, diplomatic, and political backgrounds.[12] Hillary Clinton's chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, played a key role in appointing Fernando, who donated between $1 million and $5 million to the Clinton Foundation.[13] Chief of staff for the Office of the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Wade Boese insisted that Fernando's appointment had only come at the request of Mills.[13] Emails released by the State Department show that ISAB executive director Richard Hartman referred to Fernando as an expert in "cyber security," and that Fernando has experience in the private sector implementing sophisticated risk management systems, information technology and international financial markets.[13] Fernando has also joined the board of directors for the American Security Project, the Foreign Policy Leadership Committee at the Brookings Institution and became a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.[3][5][13]

If you want to know why elected officials of every moral, intellectual and ideological shade and at every level of government lie to the public at some point or another, take a look at the post above.

Since about 60 million of you voted for Romney in 2012 and you've now nominated a reality TV show con man as your Presidential nominee for 2016, it's probably valid to wonder why your opinions are relevant to much of anything at all. Good point.
