A lot of mediocre players are about to get max money this offseason and next.

Solely because everyone is going to squander their caproom, like dollars burning a hole in a teenager's pocket.

Better to be the team that waits out the storm and goes into the next offseason with leverage... even though it pains me to say that. I'd rather wait a year and get top quality players at acceptable deals than to overpay a bunch of journeymen players now and be stuck in a bind for the next few seasons.

    Bigtime.

Now, there is that 200 million dollar contract...but, as to our books...golden.

Can this guy really improve when he already takes one of the highest number of wide open shots in the league?

OTOH, he would look good as the 4 in a D'Antoni offense.

He wouldn't look good enough to justify a max contract. We already have one max player that disappears in big games.

Is this guy any better than Jeff Green?

Imo it's hard to tell how good of a scorer he can be right now, in that team he's basically the 4th option on offense, so it's possible he has more to offer as a scorer, not sure how much though, certainly not 25x game, i'd say in this Rockets he would probably score 15/17 points per game like Parsons.

Better shooter and defender i'd say.

That's a pretty solid and fair comparison, but I think Barnes is mentally tougher. However, that may be due to the team he's on.

Harrison Barnes is way more clutch than Jeff Green. But Barnes def needs to be more consistent.

Warriors payroll is a little deceiving due to curry contract. The should have the highest payroll in the league.

I think they could keep everyone, if they wanted, including Barnes. Barnes and Ezeli have capholds based on their current contracts, so they can re-sign players like Barbosa if they want or outside free agents first and then re-sign Barnes and Ezeli to go (way) over the cap.

I don't know if they'll want to invest a max deal in Barnes, but they could.

Playing with Curry/Thompson gives you pleeenty of open shots. You should be able to knock them down.

That being said, fair comparison but I still think Barnes is better.

Yeah but Dwight will be gone if we are going to have the money to max someone.

Barnes is gonna get max or close to it. He's not worth it on the open market to another team. But to gs? Why not....
