Man, this is probably right on point with what realistically will happen. This also had persuaded me to not follow free agency at all. I'll just check back in mid July to see what happened. I hate the freaking emotion roller coaster of free agency. The only time it paid off was Dwight, for that I will always think highly of the big man regardless of what people say. He chose us for a change and wasn't forced here.
By the way if Durant comes to Houston, he will automatically be the biggest name athlete to grace this city since the Dream and it's not even close He would be the face of the city of Houston with billboards all over I-10, 610, 45, 288, 290, downtown etc. He would have all the commercials that he wants as the greatest star this city has seen since the Dream. That has to count for something. Real sports fans will have to ditch their fatt jerseys for some athletic ones All Time Houston Athletes list 1. Dream 2. Durant (?) 3. Drexler 4. Moses Malone 5. Rudy T 6. Yao Ming 7. Calvin Murphy 8. Wade Barrett 9. Elvin Hayes 10. Harden 11. Does it even matter
What does Durant think of playing with Westbrook? What does he really think? If he loves playing with him then this will be over within the first week of FA. He'll opt in and everyone can move on...
He was one of the first to report D'Antoni becoming the next coach but all of a sudden is NOT a credible source? Lol
Literally every thread I linked to happened after Dwight came to Houston, yet practically no one discredited the info because it was Stein. The only difference? This news is negative
He doesn't have to love him, just has to consider whether those two together, along with a much better core, is more desirable than playing with James and a lesser core.
He doesn't have to love James either, he just has to feel that playing with James gives him a chance at the finals. I mean it's not like he has to guess this, the only time he's been to the finals was in large part due to James Harden. Not only that, lesser core? Morey can sign two max FAs, including Durant. This seems to always get pushed to the side here. Durant isn't joining the 2015 Rockets, so people must stop putting out a scenario where he is. He would be joining a team that looks drastically different.
Probably because Harden He probably likes Harden as a friend. Personal relationship is fine, but professionally... Kind of like that girl you don't mind dating for a while. But you know you would never marry.
LOL @ these Harden haters If Durant joins the Rockets, Harden will his main reason If he doesn't join the Rockets, it's because of something else Durant + Harden + Westbrook = Finals Durant + Westbrook = WCF Harden = WCF
I like this guy lol, he takes the Basketball/Rocket Bias to the extreme. I for one am sick and tired of hearing about JJ watt and seeing him every 10 minutes on an HEB commercial. Dude is full of himself too posing shirtless and all.
Durant is a great player, but he's not that big a name. Sure, that's a factor of playing in OKC. He'd be huge if the Thunder played for New York or LA. But they don't. As far as names go, Yao is much bigger than him. Durant would be about McGrady's level.
He is credible, but people on the internet never want to admit to bad news that deflects their hopes. DD
Yes athletes TBH never heard of the first 3 names on your list. Who the F are these nobodies? As for the last one, read sig.
I don't take Stein's word for **** really since he predicted Dwight Howard would re-sign with LA up until the day he signed with our team, but I'm pretty convinced Durant won't sign here anyways. I think this is Stein just reiterating the obvious so he can sound like he's on the inside track with KD's team.
