Kershaw is one of the best starting pitchers of all time and a HoF lock. A three time Cy Young award winner, he has an awesome lifetime 122-57 record and 2.38 ERA!

All of his Cy Young seasons were well deserved. He was clearly the best regular season pitcher those years.

In the playoffs, however, he has been underwhelming with a record of 4-9 with a 4.59 ERA.

Curry is starting to look similar. Like Kershaw, he is having fantastic regular season performances and well deserved MVP awards.

But his playoffs have been similarly underwhelming.

Is Curry the NBA version of Kershaw?

Imagine the reaction on this board if Harden had 2 points and 4 turnovers at half time of a game in the FINALS.

Curry has essentially gotten off scott free from the media thus far. If LeBron was turning in the performance he was there would be hell to pay. The collective has been far more interested in talking about Love than addressing Curry's subpar performance thus far.

And yet, his team is winning and has won throughout the playoffs despite him being down on form.

If LeBron or Harden don't turn up their teams don't carry them/step up and compensate. And this is why Harden was MVP last season. It's really that simple (if we are discussing the true meaning of what 'most valuable player' actually means).

Kershaw is a ballhog in the playoffs, doesn't defer to his teammates and plays Hero Ball.

That's an intellectually dishonest argument. Did you really expect the Warriors w/o Curry to have trouble with us or the Blazers? With the turmoil between Dwight/Harden and having an idiot coach at the helm, our loss was inevitable. And the Blazers were only able to advance to the 2nd round b/c of injuries to Paul and Griffin.

The Warriors needed Curry against OKC, and he stepped up.

Very true. Especially Heat Lebron. If he had 2 pt first half and lost by 30 the media would send him straight to hell. Curry has some type of shield

Recent high ankle sprain and mcl sprain. Look up how long it takes to fully come back from those.

8 weeks minimum for high ankle sprain.

Another Curry thread. Just what we need!

You guys are complaining about the media attention this guy gets. Look at the mirror. No wonder some posters are lumping "the media" with CF posters such as this post:

So, in the conference finals, he played 2 games, shot 50%, scored 69 points, had 14 rebounds and 19 assists. He obviously sucked.

In the finals, nothing wrong with the second game, 7-11 in a blowout win. First game, mediocre, third game, bad.

The difference between baseball and basketball, is that teams do not play defense on Kershaw so the comparison doesn't hold water. Gearing a defense to stop Curry opens up his teammates (see the GS bench and role players in game 1).

Last year, Curry had a very respectable finals.

His useage rate is 100%, he literally has the ball on every play. Also no midrange game, everything is from 60' 6".
