Might be too late to for the Cavs to start defending hard. If you don't start it by game 2, the officials, who already favor the Warriors at this point, will see it as awkward and call tacky fouls which sucks because it's the only chance for the Cavs to get back in this series.
that was my point. not that she isn't talented (i have no idea). just that "proving doubters wrong" strikes me the wrong way. much like with a ton of other things in life, there are probably a 1000 other people who could do what she does. and the difference in the ones working with michael mina (and thus "proving doubters wrong") and the ones who we never hear of largely involves things like connections, circumstances, and pure luck. well, being married to steph curry means that part of the equation is pretty much covered and so, if she has talent, it is almost certainly going to get recognized. and even if she had slightly less talent, it would still probably get recognized because who doesn't want to attach themselves to the curry name? not that having connections to become successful makes her unique or that i hold it against her for using them.
Hate to break it to you, but pretty much every single uber successful person in the entire world has had the help of other people, IE connections. Pick an industry and person, it doesn't matter. You belittling her accomplishments while ignoring the fact Steph Curry just happened to be born into a highly affluent professional athlete family to become an (nutrition, time, training) elite basketball player is either ignorant or sexist. We can certainly ask the same question about Steph Curry. If he wasn't Dell Curry's son and afforded time, resources, trips to basketball camps and was a random kid in the hood... Would he be in jail? A drug dealer? dead by 18? Would he be Steph Curry as we know it? Or the thousand other talented kids who never get a shot due to luck and circumstances? Conclusion: You're an idiot.
To piggyback on the same point. I implore you to read the book "Outliers" but I imagine you won't be interested. But to anyone else that might be amazon link Here is the summary
Lol at your personal attacks. Well done, little boy. Did I say Steph didn't get born with a silver spoon in his mouth? And where was I belittling her accomplishments? In fact, I would be the first to say that not only is it impressive she is out there trying to make a name for herself, but she is quite skillful at what she does. There's no denying that. The only point I was trying to make is that she didn't need Steph's money, but it would be highly unlikely that she would be where she is without being Steph's wife. Could she have made it on her own? Possible, but the odds would have been against her. Is it a bad thing that she is leveraging her position to start her enterprise? No. Like you said, everyone got help on their road to success, though I would argue that she got much more help than the vast majority of people.
Seems interesting. I'll prob flip through it once I get done with the 3-4 books I've got piled on my list.
how is he redundant when OKC lacks another scorer in the 4th when they're just running with their head chopped off and losing leads. WB is a terrible 3 point shooter so when Durant gets the ball, he gets double team, opposing team just clogs up the lane and allows WB to settle for the clank 3 pointer. Can't do that with Harden.
OKC's issue isn't so much about needing another scorer. Its just about making better decisions at the end of the game and taking better shots, as well as TO's. They have yet to learn as a team, the true ability to close out games on a consistent basis. It really has nothing to do with needing another offensive player out there.
I think that also has to do a lot with spacing. They were playing Roberson, Adams, and WB who doesn't stretch the floor at all. I don't remember their lineup at the end of the game but those players played big minutes.
Yeah GS and good teams don't defend Roberson truly since he's so horrible offensively, so I would agree there that a slight upgrade at his position is something they should take a look at unless Roberson dedicates this entire summer to becoming a solid shooter with better decision making. I mentioned this in the OKC offseason thread. But as far as adding another scorer, that isn't really something they're missing.
well I agree, they don't need a player like Harden to win the championship but I was referring to the posts that says Harden wouldn't do anything for OKC, that's ludicrous
I was a Bulls fan during the days, and love the guy for his all out mentality. But it's a well-known fact to his teammates and the Bulls fans that he often times got too obsessed with the rebounds, went out his way for them, sometimes pushed his own guys away, or out of position just chase it. MJ, Phil and others made some jokes about that openly, it's not a shot at him, just annoy sometimes.
