But it was a strike... purpose of the game is to score runs, and the most proven way to do that is to hit balls in the zone. By your logic, Hamels could have just thrown that same pitch 3 times in a row, and George should have just watched it and waited for Godot. I'm sure somebody has some sort of analytical breakdown of the batting average of players facing pitchers who just walked a bunch of guys... likely is very high because they throw hittable pitches just to get strikes.
If you really mean it, put some money where your mouth is and bet somebody (namely Vegas), and make a killing off your prediction. You were already wrong about Hamels no-hitting us today. Make a profit off your bold prediction. Take some time off work and take the wife on a vacation.
Can he sell intent any more clearly? Him appealing his upcoming suspension would be an absolute farce of farces. His glove and hat were off almost instantly... he knew what was coming.
Sucks to give up a home run like that, but at least it was a solo shot, and only a 2-2 ball game. I think Dallas has pitched well considering how tough this line up is, and we are on the road. Just wish we could add some runs with how wild Cole has been.
He's not dominant though. In his "good" outings, he still gives up runs. He hasnt shown himself to be an ace this season. He's pitched like a back of the rotation type of guy.
Compared to some of his other games against the Rangers (last year included), tonight has been spectacular. Track record for this season indicates it could all fall apart in any given inning... needs to finish a game strong.
