Smart move of Hinch to predict Gomez's home run today. Why didn't he know there would be no home runs yesterday?
Happy about the homer, and refraining from mentioning that he flipped his bat and stared at the ball and immediately went into a casual trot, when the ball cleared the fence by an inch, and he wouldn't have made it to 2nd base if it didn't. Refraining from suggesting that Hinch may want to hammer him for that and nip it in the bud before it costs us. I'll let somebody else mention all that.
We can complain about the bat flip/antics endlessly. Hell, he did that last night on a routine fly ball to CF. But if it has him showing a pulse as being a productive hitter, I'll take the idiot with the good. Meanwhile, Rangers getting a man on first = instant rally.
Nice HR by Gomez... with a runner on too. He's needed that, the team needed that. Keuchel pitching like Keuchel. Not sure which fan wouldn't want a routine play made. Weird response by you.
Inning should've been over ffs. Dalls just doesn't get the close calls this year. Strike 3 should've been called
Should have been Marisnick in LF, George in RF, Rasmus as DH. Have no idea why Hinch went back to George at DH.
Just pointing out the fallacy of you saying something would have for-sure happened with Marisnick (which was highly unlikely given the speed/trajectory/height of that ball, and would have required the ultimate heroics of heroics)... when the simplest of routine plays did not happen.
Didn't the Astros know that they are not allowed to hold a lead against the rangers? This lead isn't gonna last 2 innings.
