Damn it Springer... I mean he's been the man this year, but god it's annoying to see so many of our players not getting the run home from 3rd with 1 out
I have heard this about Devenski being "far more impressive out of the pen" several times But in his first three starts, he went 17 2/3 and gave up 4 earned, that is a 2.04 Era. Also had 15 K's. Only 5 innings first time out, but then went 6 and then into the 7th. The start in Boston blew everything up for him, but i'd much much much rather see him in the rotation as opposed to Feldman
That double play hurt, but it's sad when we are upset about that play and not scoring more than 4 runs in 4 innings against a pitcher who is known to be an Astros killer, and a first place team. Pitching has just been extremely frustrating in certain situations.
From now on, I think the Astros should steal a base almost 100% of the time when there is 1 out and a man on 1st base. They seem to ground into a double play in that situation every damn time.
