It's less of a desperate need when you have Durant and Harden. But I don't think there's any way he comes here.
Dude has 22k followers but...would he even be able to get in the same room as james and kd? Even if that happened why would kd tell james that in front of people. I still think we end up with him (which puts me in the minority), but all kd and james hanging out tells me is that they are still really good friends. I doubt kd has actually made up his mind as of now, but good to know we have james pitching rockets starting June 5, which will be a month before anyone else. Also, there is no doubt Morey has given some info for james to pass along. (i.e...dwight is gone, we can get a third max guy, etc.) All in all...great to see this!
It appeared that Kevin Durant had a Metallica shirt on. I believe that was a subliminal message that he is coming to Houston. Metallica has an album called "Ride the Lightning". Houston has been riding the lightning alot lately. I wish i knew how to post a "Its Happening" meme.
If we get Lin, it will open up the China market to Durant. He won't have to pay income taxes either. He also gets to play with Harden and Beasley. Win Win.
Looking at how Cavs breezed through the East and now get hammered by GSW, Durant should seriously think about going there. That, or join the Spurs.

Durant to the Celtics this off-season Westbrook to the Bucks in the 2017 off season Chris Paul and Lebron to the Knicks in the 2017 off season Blake Griffin to the Wizards in the 2017 off season Harden and Cousins to the Pacers in the 2018 off season Durant with Brad Stevens and co. Westbrook with adult versions of Giannis and Jabari and the prototypical 3D player Middleton Harden, Cousins, and George make the next big three. Blake Griffin gets to run with John Wall CP3MeloBron super friend it up in New York At the end of the 2018 season the western conference will be left with the Warriors being the best team again. The west will grow weaker because it'll now be led by younger teams or one man teams. Basically just the Pelicans, Wolves, and Lakers will be the only threats to the Warriors. Blazers are stuck paying Lillard an absurd amount of money and he won't get much better so they're like a weak 5th or 6th seed. Spurs will fizzle out in the 2018 WCF. Rockets, Clippers, and Thunder all turn into perennial lottery teams because their superstars leaving. Mavericks are Nets West because of poor ownership and management. Nuggets, Suns, and Jazz are bottom feeders in the playoffs simply because their one good player isn't good enough. The East is a blood bath, and every fan of a eastern conference team laughs at the western conference for being so weak and easy. '16 Champs: Warriors > Cavs '17 Champs: Warriors > Celtics '18 Champs: Celtics > Warriors '19 Champs: Pacers > Wolves '20 Champs: Wolves > Pacers '21 Champs: Celtics > Lakers '22 Champs: Pacers > Wolves Basically, Curry and the Warriors 3peat but their brand of basketball finally dies, 2016 will be Lebron's last finals appearance, KD wins his first championship at age 29 and another at 32 in the most watched finals rematch of all time, Wolves reach their potential earlier than expected, Westbrook doesn't win a championship in his 20s, and Harden/PG/Boogie win two championships in their first 4 seasons together. Also, the Rockets get the number one pick in the 2019 NBA lottery: "Jerry Lin" who goes on to win the Seattle Rockets 2 championships in the late 20s after Leslie Alexander's wife is forced to sell the team because a rabid rockets fan put rat poison in Mr. Alexander's soup. Easy
Simply this. It's amazing how some posters like to talk **** refusing to acknowledge that there's obviously a chance here...maybe small? Ok, still a chance.
That's a good point. I think Morey will know in advance if Durant is willing to come here or not so, if he says no, we will still have times to go after other guys.
A 1% chance while still technically a chance is almost meaningless. Durant is not coming here. We have no other decent players aside from Harden. We're coming off a horrible season. The reputation of the organization took a huge hit this year. And BTW, the career of the last big name free agent who decided to sign here is in such turmoil that Chuck and Kenny just staged an intervention on live TV recently when he appeared as a guest in-studio.
At the moment, the most promising and exciting thing about this team is that James Harden and Kevin Durant are friends. Sad times off of Polk and La Branch.
You keep saying the same two/three things to me dude...i have a different idea and i already told you a couple of times...anyway, i think our chances are more than 1%, i'd say 25/33% if you want me to tell you what I think, which is still a low chance, but better than nothing. I'm happy for you if you're already ahead of this, but personally, i will wait and see how it goes since i/we have nothing to lose
Why would Durant want to leave OKC with a squad that will probably be picked to win it all next year?
