Even on this thread, Lou has lied multiple times. He just can't help himself. It's clearly pathological. (As if supposedly posting under a supposedly fake identity, taking fake positions for years weren't pathological enough already.) But in the end, by commenting on it, we give the kid what he desperately wants - a little bit of attention. He loves talking about himself, and loves it when people talk about him.

Speaking of being dishonest and such....

We ever figure out why the Title of this thread is so mis-leading?

If you had read the thread, you might have a chance to figure it out. Good luck.

It kinda got off track... From what I know about the issue, the issue is a prayer room. Perhaps you can tell the OP so him or her can either have the Mods edit the title to accurately reflect the situation.

Not sure when my last post in the D&D was, but I'm glad I don't venture too much into these threads anymore, you guys waste so much time having circular arguments.

The arguments here have such little substance, everyone posts the same crap they've been posting for years. Carry on folks, this place seems more and more like a youtube comments section, predictable.

In my high school (Stephen F. Austin, Sugar Land) no one ever batted an eye when the MSA or other various Christian, Hindu or Jewish clubs meet after school in a designated classroom and performed religious activities. It really harmed no one and I'm a hardcore atheist. Can someone tell me a tangible drawback here?

I wonder if the demand of 5 times per day has something to do with it. The situations described above use space after its primary use. Five times a day would interrupt a schedule.

As a former Muslim, each prayer has an average time of about a couple of hours to allow to perform the prayer itself which takes about 5 minutes. It's not like "Oh it's 2 PM. I need to pray in the next 5 minutes or my time is up".

And since this is a university which probably has multiple buildings and many additional rooms unlike a high school, I really don't see much of an issue with it. I'm sure the school has an MSA type club. Just have a designated meeting room where they can come in an pray any time. Very simple.

So we are all agreed whoever made this thread used a misleading title? It seems this is about a prayer room....

Yes, ATW can go overboard a few times as many posters on the D&D do also on both sides.

Such a beta, desperately looking for attention and confirmation...after everyone has ignored his previous posts, he posts the same stuff again.

What exactly do you think is the difference? Prayer room and mosque serve the same purpose. Did you seriously think the person who wrote the headline was actually claiming they were attempting to kick everyone out of the university and convert the building into a mosque? It's called headline hyperbole - for the slower ones on this forum, like you, "dmoneybangbang". Google it.

I really don't understand your logic. So in my former high school, those Jews, Muslims and Christians turned my secular public high school into some hybrid Synamosquechurch because they held religious meetings and practices in their own private club room? If they did, I never noticed it.

You are wrong here buddy. Requesting a room isn't turning a secular institution into a religious one. It just isn't. Common sense dude.

the dude who wrote it is a right-wing blogger who delights in claiming all sorts of things.

    http://vladtepesblog.com/

I wouldn't claim to know what his thoughts were...

I guess the one tangible insight from this thread is really to vet your sources more carefully :/

If his evidence that "Islam is taking over" is that Muslims requested a prayer room in a public school, then Sugar Land, Texas has been taken over by Muslims and their base of operations is every high school in FBISD. Evacuate to Katy.

ATW, that is what we call "sensationalized journalism".

Try to avoid pieces like this. There are enough ****ty deeds performed in the name of Islam every day to use this ****ty right wing propaganda source.
