I love how the commentator talks about how well Correa has been swinging and feels a good streak coming for him as Correa proceeds to hack away at every down and away pitch.
Lance seems to always have that dominating inning with filthy stuff right after an inning of throwing the ball all over the place and giving up a few runs.
Hopefully at some point Hinch and crew will realize that the shift doesn't work against the A's. They handle the bat too well.
shift vs oak in action just now. Not trying to be a jerk--just pointing out when it works since we (including me) often remember when it doesn't work more than when it does
And what so many don't realize, they pitch guys a certain way because of the shift. So when you see a ball hit through the shift, it doesn't automatically mean the ball would have been hit the same place if we were playing regular, cause in most cases the pitching would have been located (or at least tried to be located) differently
For sure. I appreciate the shifting and it works more than it doesn't but you have to be cognizant of your opponents when you decide whether to do it or not.
