Pretty ridiculous.

I know they won't do it, but now would be a perfect time to bring up Bregman. Helps the offense and gives them a clearer (and hopefully narrower) picture of what they need at the deadline.

Obviously they are at the point of no return on delaying Reed's clock, and may as well wait a few more weeks at this point.

No denying it. Pitching is the problem.

We need Musgrove more than we need Bergman right now.

Yea the arb clock is in play for Bregman too, probably another 10 days or so and that passes, then it will truly be do they think Bregman and/or Reed could help us win games now, or not

"Pitching" is not the problem. Having no confidence in Gregerson getting the job done as an everyday closer is the problem.

Time to try Giles, Harris or Feliz.

Super 2 has already likely passed, but actual date won't be known for a few years. Astros probably pull any batters, if any, they think can help up sometime this week. Correa was June 8th iirc. Bregman will likely be passing through Arlington tonight....

Pitching was the main problem (timely hitting being the other). Right now our rotation isn't quite where we want it, but has been good enough, and the bullpenhas been great.

Right now, I want Harris in the 8th and Feliz in the 9th. Gregerson would move to a 7th inning role.

Isn't it based on this years service time? So while we don't know the date, it will be know at the end of this year, right?

In any case while I doubt Bregman shows in Arlington I do agree it will be soon

Could bring him up to play 3B and platoon Marwin and Valbuena at 1B

It is based on service time (it is based on being in the top so many % in service time for players with more than 2 years of service time and fewer than 3 years), but we won't know because players can be optioned back to the minors, cutting into their service time.

"likely" is a questionable word to use since we won't know for a while. Sounds like a lot of experts believe June 10th is a date they believe to be more safe

His bat in the lineup would be huge to have against LHPs. Would be able to have him at 3rd and Marwin at 1st.

Really like seeing Kemp hitting 9th. I guess it's more wait and Pray for Gomez.

REALLY need LMC to get deeper into this game than he has been. Can't have him pushing 100 pitches as he gets into the 5th. Ideally he gets into at least the 7th today. It would be really nice to have the pen somewhat rested going into the Rangers series.

Might have to treat this as split start if LMC isn't being efficient. Have Devenski on the ready to take on 3 or 4 innings to save the rest of the pen.

Absolutely agree with the split start comment. Hopefully lance can go 7 but defitnely need to look at Devenski for several innings to oreserve this bullpen for a big series against Texas

Part of the issue I think they are facing is that chemistry is good right now and everyone other than Gregerson is pitching on par with their ability. The bullpen is very talented and there are others almost ready.

Who would you have close? I am still not 100% on Giles... Harris is so good at his role. Feliz I think could be excellent, but we already use him for multiple innings and he may find himself in the rotation.

Harris is who I think Hinch would turn to... but that can cause problems with Giles and vice versa.

    Where are you pitching Giles?

Luke might not even be 7th inning material with the beastly triplets as options.

I think everything you say here is true, and plays a big role in why we haven't seen a change to this point

But, after yesterday's game, and with Hinch pulling Luke directly after giving up the HR, I suspect we see a change. My guess is they leave Harris alone, and turn to a Giles/Feliz mix to close games until one of them runs with it. I would guess because of the trade and the fact that he has successfully closed before, they would prefer Giles to take the role, but my God Feliz has been untouchable

When we need a big K. When Harris, Gregerson, & Feliz need days off.

Well let's hope worst case scenerio AJ is forced to make a decision on what to do about our closer situation this afternoon.
