What Harden is wearing in that photo is absolutely vomit inducing. I don't care how much it costs it's hideous.
Duncan was the heart and soul of all the Spurs championships, you couldn't give me 3 LMA's for one Tim Duncan in his prime. To see Duncan get completely outplayed by Adams in the OKC series was sad, you had a 22 year old up and coming center vs. a 40 year old Tim Duncan at the tail end of his career. Unless the Spurs can tank and win the lottery like they did 20 or so years ago its going to be extremely difficult to replace a modern day Bill Russell in Duncan IMO. As far as Durant is concerned why the hell would he want to leave an OKC squad that without a doubt would be the hands down favorite to win the whole thing next season.
Why would the thunder be considered the favorites over Golden State? Personally I think OKC got lucky in the Spurs and GS series. I actually think if they played the GS series again, they would be lucky to win 2 games. And remember in the Spurs series they won two games on epic fails from the refs that went against the Spurs. Not saying it would have won SA the series or not but OKC def benefitted from the late game fails by the refs. This was OKCs year imo they won't be in this position again next year even if KD comes back. On a side note if KD leaves in curious to see how the media treat Westbrook if the thunder struggle with him as the onky superstar on the team? I have a feeling things will go really bad if KD leaves I don't see them winning more than 42 games. I'm guessing Morey, Harden and MDA will put together a very good plan on how KD fits with what were doing and show him how we can sign him and Horford who he's rumored to want to play with and create a big 3 like Lebron got in Miami which is another thing rumored to be high on KDs list. I know it's the cool thing todo right now and just poop all over the rockets, but when you break it down to him as we won 56 games and made deep run with James running the show when dwight was hurt. Dwight came back and messed up team moral we now want to get you and horford on the team and ditch howard. We also have the coach who designed the offense the Warriors play which is another rumor about KD that he likes the way they play. It kind of adds up as to what we are trying to do and the pitch we will make.
Not looking good for the Durant quest at all....heard he is not that tight with Harden and HoopsHype put out an article on his most likely destinations (if he were to leave OKC) and we we weren't even in the top 15. Hope that Morey focuses on FAs that are achievable and can get us back in the right direction. He has a tendency to lose out on good players while overfucusing on pipe dreams.
Don't know, but yep, without Duncan i think the Spurs will still be good, but not as good. And than there're also two great players like Ginobili and Parker...i mean, no more original big three will be huge.
Pretty funny because they'v done ESPN sit down interviews together talking about how much they miss each other. They also hang out all the time and even said they text each other after almost every game during the season. Maybe houston isn't a great destination but the chemistry and friendship these guys have on and off the court is undeniable. If I was Vegas houtson would be the 2nd at worst 3rd favorites to land KD imo. Okc Hou sa No other team has a chance. No way in hell he goes to GS or the Wiz.
Houston is never mentioned as a KD destination because its rep is trash with the media now. Media never brings up the Harden/KD connection.
Probably because the Media knows that he has no intention of considering Houston, and we as fans are having a hard time grasping that. DD
I apologize for the confusion my "not that tight" comment has caused. They are very good friends, but it has been documented that he is tighter with Beasely, Westbrook, and a few others. Harden therefore is not his "best friend" and that makes it more difficult to imagine him leaving everything to come to Houston.
True, and it's really ridiculous and shows how full of ****/s the media are. they never mention the Rockets and they mention the Lakers...
DD, they mention the freaking Lakers...Knicks, Wizards...all teams with worst players, worst managments...i mean, i'm not one of those guys obsessed with the hate the Rockets get by a good part of the media, but damn, some of them are really shameful.
I really never heard or read something about KD being close to Westbrook more than with Harden. If you can show me something about this i'm absolutely open to change my idea.
I agree that the Wizards are not likely, but no doubt Lakers and Knicks are ahead of us. Lakers get Durant with the largest cap space in the league, they will be adding two more superstars and be a legit threat. Players like it in LA and it does not take long with a top destination along with tons of money to rebuild a dynesty. Also, a scary thought would be for Durant to join the other LA team and have a lineup of 5 stars!!! That one addition would literally ensure the Clippers of championships for the next several years.
