The bunt with maybe top 5 player for MVP was not the right move. The manager of the A's could had walk Correa and Ramus looking for a double play, and we all know Gattis will hit into those. It was not the right play. Now, we won not because a SF, but a hit, so Springer would had scored anyway. Today Hinch made many mistakes, starting with Gregerson, not pinch hitting for Valbuena, maybe even RAsmus, but lets say only Valbuena, and that bunt was not good either. I see what you say but i really believe in matchup, that is LaRussa's game and Maddon. If it was not matchups then why use lefties vs lefties late in games? I really think Hinch is not good in that part of the game. He is good in some parts, he is not in others.
