off-topic but i miss our pinstripe jerseys with black cursive...classy look...wish we'd rock those a couple sundays throughout the year. that said, i'd rock the blue/gold open star jersey way more than what we currently do. and the shooting star jersey...man we have nice retro options

My friend, you have White, Gomez on the bench, Valbuena is hitting .200 vs lefties and Dollittle is dominating lefties as a left handed pitcher.

That was an easy call, really. Can you blame Valbuena??? from the start of that at bat it was not good odds, given by who? The manager.

Sorry, but that is on Hinch. The same the Gregerson move, in this forum at least 80 percent did not wanted Gregerson to pitch, and like I said, especially aganst 4 lefties, AGAIN MY FRIEND, matchups. But you know what???? The real manager from the other team took the catcher from the game, and brought a left handed hitter to face Gregerson, why??? Matchups

Kangaroo points to matchups non stop in regards to Hinch. That was my point.

And at some stage of the game, the players need to make contact. There are plenty of times when the match ups are in our favor and it doesnt work out, there are no guarantees. The players should be held just as accountable as the manager.

Also, it was stated that Rasmus shouldnt go up against lefties and should have been subbed...he strikes out the same amount of times against righties and lefties...so what matchup are we playing here? Just give me contact, which Rasmus does equally against righties and lefties. We dont need to focus on BA or OPS here.

I can see Colby hitting, but not Valbuena in that situation.

If it was a right handed pitcher, ok, but not against a left handed pitcher and you having 2 righties on the bench. If the guys on the bench are not good enough for that situation, then send them packing and bring other players like Worth from Triple A.

Rasmus last year hit lefties, and he hit with no outs, so i can see that move, I would have use a right handed pinch hitter, but i can see it.

But Valbuena struggles vs lefties, i can't believe that one.

The reason why I'm not complaining as much on not ph there for Valbuena is that White and Gomez are not that good and probably not any more likely than Valbuena to get that run in. That's why I commented that the bench is just weak right now. White nor Gomez are major league players right now for the most part. I would like them to bring Worth up and send White down. Worth would have been perfect in that situation.

Last year Rasmus hit .252 vs lefties, this year .171.

Not a good matchup Doolittle vs Rasmus (.171) or Valbuena (.200)
Doolittle vs lefties .147 vs righties .217

I can see your point, but you have to use your bench or send them to the minors.
The matchup was really tough for Valbuena there.

Why are you looking at BA? We dont need a hit in that situation...we need a chopper to 2nd or a fly ball.

This has got to get old to the team having to play in all of these extra inning games because the manager keeps sending a sorry ass closer out there.
