either go go is hurting physically or computers in the death star have detected the marisnick non stat stat.
Marisnick is just hot of late--makes sense for now. He has hit like garbage for much of the season, but started taking better swings lately. Hitting .333/.357/.519 over his last 6 games. (He started plenty of games before that in May where he sucked, so it's not just a "he started playing more" thing.) I'm sure Gomez will get some spot starts for Colby or Jake, but one of them will have to falter, or Gomez will have to show something in order to get consistent time from them. Colby and Jake are streaky enough that it will happen, for better or worse
With Gomez hitting .300 off of LHP and .147 vs RHP, I would think we see a platoon of Gomez and Rasmus. As long as Jake hits he will play most of the time, against all LHP and probably lose a few starts to Kemp vs RHP. Of course performance will tell the story in the end, but I would guess that is how it's gonna play out the next couple of weeks anyway. Sure would be nice to see White get it going
Wow. Of course.

Hearing Sonny Gray will come off DL tomorrow and start for A's in Houston after all. Just looking over our schedule this month as compared to Texas' and Seattle's, and this is the time to make up some ground. Texas and Seattle both have quite a few tough series coming up this month, while our three big series consist of Texas, St. Louis, and Kansas City. While hosting the Reds,Angels twice, and heading to Tampa. This obviously guarantees nothing. However, if we are going on strength of schedules, this is a huge month for us to make up ground, with out actually being able to play the teams ahead of us apart from the solo 4 game series @ Texas.
