I have not committed to supporting Trump. As I've long said, I don't like his immigration and trade policies, among other reasons.
Hmm... fchowd said Trump made up a claim that he saw video of thousands of American Muslims celebrated 9/11. Trump's claim: "watched in Jersey City, N.J., where thousands and thousands of people were cheering". Do you acknowledge that Trump said this? Do you agree it is not only offensive, but also complete fabrication on Trump's part? http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/nov/22/donald-trump/fact-checking-trumps-claim-thousands-new-jersey-ch/
Well, this appears to be yet another attempt to avoid answering questions. So I will try again... First of all, "not committed to supporting Trump"? While you, I and everyone on this discussion forum knows you will vote for Trump in November, I will allow you to state who you currently support? Second, you still have avoided answering this question... what is your opinion on Trump's offensive statements? Do you find them offensive?
So my point stands. He explicitly stated thousands upon thousands of Muslims in Jersey, more specifically Jersey City which probably only has a population of 'thousands upon thousands' of Muslims. So a Trump supporter in Jersey who believes his quote is credible now believes that every Muslim in Jersey City is a 9/11 loving terrorist. Tell me explictly where my logic falls apart. Again, do you believe those Muslims in Jersey deserve to mistrusted and shamed like this for no reason at all?
Thank you... here's a list, please say whether you find each offensive: re: Mexicans “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re not sending you … they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bring crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” “I’m building a wall. It’s an inherent conflict of interest,” Trump on the federal judge presiding over lawsuits against his embattled Trump University. Trump told the Wall Street Journal that U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel has “an absolute conflict” in the case because he is “of Mexican heritage." re: African Americans: “I think the guy is lazy,” Trump said of a black employee, according to O’Donnell. “And it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.” re: Jewish people: “I’m a negotiator, like you folks,” Trump told the crowd, touting his book The Art of the Deal. “Is there anyone who doesn’t renegotiate deals in this room?” Trump said. “Perhaps more than any room I’ve spoken to.” “You’re not going to support me, because I don’t want your money,” he said. “You want to control your own politician.” re: women, and specifically Megyn Kelly: “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her … wherever.” re: women, and specifically his own daughter (creepy): "Yeah, she's really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father …" Shall I go on? There are lots to choose from.
No, I'm not going to let you play this game. "Probably thinks every Muslim he or she meets in Jersey is 9/11 supporter and secret terrorist." - me Are you referring to this statement? Because that is exactly the conclusion a Trump supporter in Jersey city would come to logically if he believes Trump's claim that thousands upon thousands of Muslims were celebrating 9/11 in Jersey City. If his premise was true that thousands of Muslims DID celebrate 9/11 in Jersey City they day of, then even I would be suspicious of every Muslim in Jersey City. But the problem is, his claim was obviously false, thus he created an unnecessary and quite frankly planned bigotry of Muslims in Jersey primarily because the ****er loves pandering. If you were even remotely intelligent your angle of attack to counter my assertions wouldn't be to dismiss it but to state that Trump is already pandering to bigots thus, Trump supporters would have hated all Muslims regardless if he made that statement or not.
But what happened in other nations is irrelevant to the argument at hand (even if not irrelevant on a larger scale). What Trump was doing was lying about Muslims in the United States in order to provide support for his bigoted policy ideas.
This one is stretched way out of proportion. It is factual that illegal immigrants have brought drugs and crime. Also stretched way out of proportion. Trump didn't say her vag. She's had him back on her show since then. I didn't like the comment about blacks being lazy - although I never heard Trump say that one - do you have an audio link?
He didn't say that. Bottom line. You're exaggerating and employing the "slippery slope" logic fallacy.
Did he not say that thousands upon thousands of people were celbrating 9/11 in Jersey the day of? Yes or no? Wouldn't a Trump supporter in Jersey City who would believe his claim rationally assume that most Jersey City Muslims are 9/11 sympathizing terrorist supporters given that the total Muslim population in Jersey City is only 'thousands upon thousands'? Yes or No? Answer these questions Texxx and stop playing your **** little deflection games or don't respond to me. It won't work on me.
Trump's slippery slope is a hanging glacier on Mount Everest. Business likes steady conditions they can plan for, you would have that with Hillary gridlock. The reality of a Trump Administration is anybody's guess.
I don't like Trump's trade policy, as I've stated. I'd like to learn more about his tax proposals - there is tremendous value to be unlocked by reducing the corporate tax rate, among other potential moves.
The comments about Blacks being lazy won't have audio. It is a quote a former employee says that he said from a book the employee wrote. http://www.snopes.com/donald-trump-racist-meme/
So, I provided a list of what, 8 statements. You responded to three, and didn't say you were offended by any. You claim two were "stretched out of proportion" which I guess I am to interpret you didn't find them offensive. In one you ignored that he called Mexican's rapists. In the other you justify his statement by saying he didn't say the word vagina, as if that is what was required to make his statement offensive. And the one about African Americans you didn't find offensive but instead needed an audio recording. I suspect the reason you specifically asked for an audio recording is you are aware of the statement, a quote by a former Trump hotel and casino president. http://articles.philly.com/1991-05-10/news/25795529_1_trump-associates-trump-s-atlantic-city-donald-trump Still waiting on whether you found the quotes about Jewish people offensive. And while you are contemplating Trump offensive statements, here's another: “They don’t look like Indians to me,” Trump told the House Native American Affairs subcommittee in a 1993 inquiry about organized crime and policing in Indian casinos dug up by the Hartford Courant’s Dan Haar. “They don’t look like Indians to Indians.”
