Awesome stat! Thing is, for a player to get 3 ABs in one inning, their team needs at least 20 batters reaching the plate. To do that, they must score at least 13 runs (6 ABs is the maximum batters without scoring) So, research begins from 13+ run innings. The league bats-around twice multiple times every season. Very, very unlikely for the same player to makes all the outs, but I'd say it's happened before.
No way Colby sits tomorrow on bobblehead night but I'm afraid Hinch doesn't have the nads to sit Gomez 2 games in a row.
Especially after Marisnick had ANOTHER good game. Why is Gomez playing, i have no idea. Because of past numbers? Well, lets use him 4th in the lineup then.
Right, I would be shocked too if Gomez sits tomorrow. They seem like they are hell bent on trying to see if Gomez can somehow turn back into a major leaguer again. He's the worse everyday position player in the majors this year so far.
Great job Fister for still holding down OAK despite the big league. Many pitchers would lose focus by having a comfortable lead.
Wasn't excited about his signing but he has really been a stabilizing force in the starting rotation this year. Props to him.
True. I was thinking the long man Feldman would be brought in to finish off the game or one of the pitchers who haven't been pitching too much recently.
I am fairly certain, that if the situation warranted and the game was considered important, a manager would sit a guy on his bobblehead game. It would be an intriguing call if it was going to be Hill pitching tomorrow.
I think there is a difference when one is pitching in a laugher as opposed to pitching in a tight game. Fister has not had any pressure pitches after the first inning.
