Ted Williams had two walks and an inning-ending fielder’s choice in one inning, thus making him the only player to have three plate appearances in an inning without a hit. But he did not make all three outs obviously. July 4th, 1948.

because our own fans degrade last season by saying if you take out the 10 game winning streak, we were only a .500 club. well, if you take out fister's 2 worst starts, he is pitching like an AL ace.
Of note: Red sox score 14 runs in the 7th. Ted Williams was hitting .397 at the time, but went 0-3 for the game. Bubba Harris gave up 12 Runs in 2/3 inning. Final Score of 19-5.
