Pick and roll or Pick and pop for Harden

?

Would Harden be better in pick-and-roll or pick-and-pop provided we had the shooters?

Is he better than one of your favorites, Dekker?

Don't really understand the question. Of course it depends on the player that comes out to set the screen for Harden.

    Frye? Millsap? LMA? PnP.

    DJ? Dwight? Ezeli? PnR.

Where did I say Dekker was one of my favorites?

I have no idea what we have in Dekker other than he's a scrapper.

I think Jordan Hill would be a nice free agent option for this team. Could be a really solid backup PF/C for cheap(ish)

He can do both PnR and PnP, nice mid range jumper, solid finisher around the rim + decent hands, athletic/long, good rebounder, has played for both D'Antoni and the Rockets before as well.

He'll probably get around 6-8 mill per.

A PF that can hit a simple 15ft jumper would be nice. Cant expect center to run out to 3pt line to take a shot after every pick n pop

We need a 4/5 that can post up. That would change the landscape. I don't really think the difference in Pick and roll/pop is going to change everything. If you're looking for what GSW is doing, we need some dudes just setting moving picks once in a while to throw off the opponents' defense.

If we have a great post up player, it's up to Mike d'Antoni to figure out how to make sure Harden doesn't just stand there 4 ft across half court waiting for the ball. oh wait...

Are you sure it's not most out of the post touches?

What big can do both and also protect the rim and dominate the defensive glass?

(Is there a player in this draft that could become this? )

    Ibaka
    LMA
    Draymond Green
    Millsap
    Hassan Whiteside
    Al Horford
    KAT
    Griffin
    Kristaps

All of these guys play respectable defense, shoot, and roll. You're basically looking at all-star level players. But yes my point remains the same, it's way too easy for a team to defend one dimensional screeners.

CP3/Deandre is probably the main exception to this, but you're also talking about some of the best players in the league.
