That's life. People are born with advantages. Lebron was born with athleticism that's one in a billion. Curry was born into a wealthy family with a dad that played in the NBA. Regardless both guys worked incredibly hard to get there. With that said Curry is the best player in the NBA right now and arguably the hardest working player in the game.
You are deluded. Curry is 6'3, not athletically superior and had to practice his ass off to be a marksman in his trade as well as craft his handles all while being smaller than the guys he's playing. That's how he had the greatest single season as a player and his team had the greatest season. Lebron may have came from a some poor ho that dates his teammates but Lebron was born athletically superior. He was viewed as the future #1 pick at 13 and had magazine articles about him. Privileged is being inherited the height of 6'8 and inheriting athleticism. Anyways, I keep away form people who talk of privilege. That crybaby activism crap will rot your mind.
Lol, I get what you're saying, but.. I'm sure Curry is going to have to get max on that next contract, he had a couple of bad times with injuries prior, but now he's the man. We all wish we were privileged but somehow weirdo Steph Curry fans think his being labeled privileged is an insult. No, it's just a matter of fact. He's a privileged and very fortunate young man to have been born to a wealthy father who was one of the great NBA shooters of his time. There's no question that privilege plays a large role in Curry's skill level.

I'm sure he will get max too. But then again, maybe he will take a little less than max to keep the core together. Dirk has. Duncan has. Lebron is choosing to go full Kobe with his contracts. Sure, Curry didn't ask to make less than his other teammates so much as it was what was a good deal for him at the time. It's hard to complain about Curry's supporting cast though when he makes like 2/5 of what Lebron does. It would make sense he would have a better supporting cast. Plus, unlike when Lebron leaving to team up with max players like Bosh and Wade, Curry, Klay and Dray were all drafted by the Warriors who didn't even intentionally tank like the 76ers. Wade, Bosh, Kyrie and Love were all top 5 picks along with Bron. Curry was 7th, Klay 11th and Dray 2nd round pick. I personally have nothing wrong with how the Warriors have been built. See people call Curry privileged for having a better team is hilarious though. The world we live in man, you can't make this stuff up.

Who's diminishing how hard LeBron has worked? Everyone know's he's worked hard his whole life to improve his game. So have millions of other basketball players. Unfortunately, none of them had LeBron's athletic ability. Hence, privilege.

Both dudes were given advantages others don't get: LeBron his genetics and Curry his NBA father/life. And both had to work their asses off to make the most of the resources they had available. That is why I like and have always followed both guys. They both put in the work.

Exactly, I agree with you, and I think there is a good chance Curry probably will go Duncan/Dirk route, I mean why breakup something that's working so well. That franchise has been run incredible these last few years. And even if Curry does go max, I think GSWs would have to keep that core together somehow, you don't win 73 by accident. I'm not the biggest fan of some of the ref stuff, I mean Green gets away with some stuff, sure (and so do non-gsw players), but the refs are not putting the ball in the hoop. ****ing Thompson broke the 3 point record like it was nothing. Love them or hate them, in this Era of bball they're damn impressive. I'm hoping for at least an entertaining series, but I feel GSWs are going to roll right through the Cavs.
Just to be clear, I think both of them were 'privileged', only in different ways. How much did Curry's privilege help him get a scholarship to a D-1 school? Oh yeah, he couldn't even get an offer as a legacy to his DAD'S school (VT), which was nowhere near a respectable basketball program. So one got the support of a stable family allowing him to chase his dreams without fear of failure, and the other got otherworldly physical abilities. They both worked their asses off, and that's why they are considered the top 2 players in the league right now. I don't even know what your point is anymore.
I agree. I've not said Lebron didn't work hard. Someone literally said Curry is more privileged than Lebron in this thread because Curry has a better roster. And yet a Lebron fan said I'm whining about Curry when I've said nothing other than Curry does in fact have the better roster and at the same time, he makes 2/5 what Lebron makes to pay for other players. Not sure how that's whining but I triggered the one dude who put me on ignore. The big time Lebron fans are soft, anything not praising him as the best is grounds for being offended.
