Maybe lebron can just join the Warriors with Durant. Lol, that'd really **** the nba. Hahaha, I mean he makes more off endorsements... Sign for vet min and ruin the nba. Then he might be able to ring chase and break even. I'm not serious, but the East just sucks, LeBron could probably join any of the East playoff teams and make it to the finals.. Anyway, hopefully this series is more entertaining...

in the 4 years before lebron got to miami, they didn't win a playoff series. in the 4 years lebron wasn't in cleveland, they didn't even make the playoffs. he seemingly must be doing something right .

except love gets his touches in the post these days and kyrie gets all the touches he wants. everyone else on the team IS a spot up shooter.

ignoring the fact that irving is going to be his point guard for a while probably and that he isn't a distributing point guard, why is a point guard creating for his teammates somehow better than lebron creating for his teammates?

even without having developed a good post-up repertoire he still tends to be so powerful that people have to double him in the post a lot and he's so good at passing that he'll still be able to find people.

Is Lebron going to leave if he loses again?

It seems like it might make him end up going crazy losing over and over. It also seems like some motivation could diminish if he knows next year he could go and lose again. The media would really play it up next year throughout the playoffs.

It's a crazy idea but maybe Lebron and Durant end up at the Lakers.

Lebron's all right. The Cavs missed a whole bunch of easy buckets and they made a lot of mistakes on defense. I hope they learn from this game. Kyrie is amazingly bad on defense and it seems as if he does more bad than good on offense.

You can't blame Lebron for this, he kind of did everything right.

LeBron is not leaving Cleveland unless the front office guts the team for picks or something crazy like that.

Lebron and Durant would not result in a title, then his reputation will be terrible. By the way, who said Durant wants to play with Lebron? He would not.

Yup. Barring some extreme case, I don't think he has more team switches left in him. He cares about his reputation and image and leaving Cleveland a second time to chase rings won't look good.

Has anyone explained exactly how it would be considered choking even if the Cavs do end up losing in the NBA Finals to the greatest single season team in the history of the league? Has that been established?

just for fun i went and looked at lebron's 2010 cavs team, his last season in cleveland. a team that won 61 games even though lebron sat out the last 4 games and the cavs lost them all (so more like a 64 or 65 win team in reality). i figured the roster wouldn't be that great, but it was actually weaker than i expected.

most people could probably guess that mo williams played the second most minutes on the team. but do you know who played the 3rd most? ANTHONY PARKER! even having looked at his picture, i don't have any real recollection of who anthony parker is, and i like to think i generally know most every rotation player in the nba. and i watched that team because i was rooting for lebron and i still don't remember him being a guy getting big minutes. and it was a 34 year old anthony parker to boot!

so lebron led a 64 or 65 in which the 2nd and 3rd players were mo williams and a 34 year old anthony parker. i don't know if he made them better, but he certainly made them win a lot more.

We are taking greatest ever. That's pretty clear at this point right? Well he's not the greatest ever and not even close. The greatest ever doesn't lose 5 rings.

So he/they whoever you wanna call it won 61 games. Why not finish if you have the most wins in the NBA and the MVP? The record says they had the best team in the NBA right? The MVP means they had the best player, right? So win it all.

    What's the argument ? I don't understand

He's not the greatest ever, but he's the best right now. Any team he joins would probably become a legit championship contender. He plays multiple positions and can guard the other teams best players. His team is clearly outgunned against Golden State. Curry can probably sit a few games and Golden State would still win the series. That team is too deep for the Cavs to compete against. I'm not holding that against him.

The "best ever" is a subjective position at best.

MJ spent 9 years before he won a ring, in fact he didn't even reach the NBA Finals.

In your book is not reaching the finals>reaching the finals and losing?

You hate Lebron so much you are making r****ded logic just to put him down. If you are gonna make fun for him for reaching the finals and losing what does that say about other players who couldn't even get to the finals?

No, it hasn't, because this is a silly, agenda-driven thread, not a thoughtful inquiry into the nature of choking and the human condition.
