You also said season over, Feliz should start

Results don't seem to matter to you man, if they don't do things exactly like you say then they are "not smart"

So since we are back in the running, should we fire Hinch?

First guy at the plate to congratulate him was Gomez. He ruined the chemistry of that whole celebration.

Obviously u didn't catch what he did? Stand on the base so Springer never scores. :)

Just to comment on this, I have completely stopped reading his posts. On the rare occasion I don't notice it was from him, it takes about 1 sentence for me to realize it. The other day I began to notice what I thought was a trend so I did some research to see how accurate I was. I saw that our friend seemed to only post negative things or would only post when the team was struggling so I started looking at the last few series threads to see. I went back to the Rangers sweep and looked at his posts in each series thread up to the series at Az. Here are the numbers

    Rangers- 27 posts
Orioles- 1 post (we swept this series and the one post he made was oddly enough about Feliz being a starter)
Angels- 15 posts (13 of these were in during the game we lost, 1 was before the series started)
    Dbacks- 16 posts

Out of the 59 posts I noticed there were some consistent themes.

-10 of the posts were positive things about the team, a player did good, good win etc.
-8 of the posts I had no idea what he was saying because they did not make sense to me.
-30 posts were negative Hinch sucks, McCullers is bad (after one inning), Why are we playing <insert player here> over <insert player here that was in the other bracket a few posts ago>
-11 posts were hey look at me I was right when I said this earlier in the season. (someone breaks an 0 for 20 slump by going 2 for 5 and they are magically hitting well)

And before anyone comes back and says "man you really spent a lot of time on this guy, that's obsessive", it took longer to type this post than it did to look up the info using the boards search tools. I really did it because I wanted to see if bias was getting to me and I was imaging all the negativity or if it was a reality.

Oh, the negativity is most definitely a reality... just last night, the first 3 innings produced an array of traffic/posts of complaints (albeit, some of them by me lamenting Fiers' struggles)... and after the 3 run inning, relative silence till Luke's breakdown.

Much like sports radio, many are only wired to vent/complain about things... and won't post/give credit when things are going well. The better the team does, the more odd it looks to post only when something bad happens (as inevitably, the point they're making... whether its about Hinch's managing, Springer's K's, or Giles giving up a hit... seem a little dated given more recent events).

Lets just hope they keep up the winning ways... because its quite entertaining to see all the double-back's posters are doing from their early-season declarations/presumptions on certain players and certain roles.

Man this hot streak has been some kind of fun.

I wonder how long this lefty platoon will last. I love Colby, but it's nice to see Jake get some decent playing time if we catch with Gattis and play Jake in left against every lefty we face.

What do y'all think about White right now? Now that he's regressed quite a bit, and scares me to death as a defensive first baseman, what would y'all like to do with the first base spot? I wish AJ was healthy and hitting the cover off the ball, but it seems like first base may be a little bit of a weakness as was last year.

Any suggestions or thoughts for that position?

Marwin gets the start against left-handed pitching... Bregman gets called up and platoon's with Valbuena at 3B against left-handed pitching.

They have been playing great. Good time to get hot. They were all but left for dead not too long ago. Nice to see the type of play we were expecting to see earlier on in the season. Hopefully, they have turned the corner at this point. Playing great baseball is a delicate balance of many things going well at the same time. Just need to stay in that zone. The team has fought back and it is encouraging. Keep it going!

Marwin and White start against lefties. Valbuena and somebody start against RHP. I think Bregman may be here later this month, just a hunch.

I just noticed that Correa has a .580 OPS with 0 XBH against LHP this year. Outside of Altuve, Springer and Gattis the whole team sucks in that regard, but I didn't realize he was doing that poorly.

George Springer is now #1 in WAR among position players in the whole league. Altuve is #4. What time to be an Astros fan!

Agreed. After seeing Marwin try to bunt twice when batting left-handed last night, in extra-innings with nobody on, it again has me convinced that he just can't hit left-handed due to some sort of injury reason.

Yeah, its a problem that will hopefully regress back towards the mean. They've faced much more infrequent lefties this year as opposed to last year... but a bunch of them coming up. With more consistent repetition, these numbers should improve.

Didn't he have a hand/wrist problem last year that limited him to batting right for a while? I may be mixing up my limbs and sides, dunno.

I don't want that post to come off as I am opposed to criticism. I'm not at all. What bothers me is how quick some are to complain while only considering a small sample size, then turning around and anointing a player on an equally small sample size.

Haha, I love Clippard's reaction. You can easily see the exact moment where he realized that he just lost his team the game.

I've been that guy in HS, it's not a good feeling.
