Very doubtful. He's already blown 4. Blew 6 all of last year. With the options they have this year, and what they gave up to get one of them, you're going to see other guys get some chances.
disagree. he was trying to get the crowd and his teammate hyped. he in a slump basically. that triple could get him going.
I would do it the way you suggest. I'd imagine guys like Luhnow would also. I just haven't seen any managers operate that way. Not that I watch every game or anything, but I follow a ton of box scores when I don't watch them
not counting @NYY game (after McHugh got lit up), Feliz K:BB is 30:1. Dude has been unhittable. Wonder if he could be the closer? I think he's too young and raw this season, but his future is really bright.
If the team isnt already hyped, then everyone should be fired...and the crowd should go home. He just got overly excited there.
Jimy Williams was probably one of the best Astros managers when it came to bullpen shuffling. Then again, he was so reliant on the bullpen that he almost had to be more efficient in its usage. He did help groom Dotel to become an elite set-up man, and oversaw Lidge's ascension.
