Why are Leslie and D'Antoni being sensitive about the bad rap Harden and the Rockets got? It's all well deserved and instead of getting defensive, just own up to at least two things:
    1) Harden deserves the criticism with coming to camp out of shape, regarding his defense and lack of leadership.
    2) When you are horrible at defense and Morey says we will address that with the HC and you got out and hire the ANTITHESIS to that, you deserve a bad rep as a an organization and owner in particular.

    Plain and simple. Thoughts?

It's a competitive free agent market. Teams are smart to put out that info to hurt the Rockets. No truth to it though. — Leslie, Mike & Daryl

You will never hear Les or Morey say anything negative about Harden. They still have hope that he will remain in Houston beyond the next two seasons. It really doesn't accomplish anything for an owner or GM to be critical of a star player.

So did you expect D'Antoni to talk negatively about Harden in his introductory press conference?

it's one big kiss-up fest. mda sucks up to 'mr. alexander', who has to suck up to harden, who has to suck up to durant the next 4 weeks, who has to suck up some air to keep from spontaneously choking all day

I like when people bring up Harden being "out of shape" when Mchale clearly said he was injured so he couldn't get in shape like he wanted to. Mchale said this after he was fired by the way. Actually most of Mchale interview were more pro Harden and anti Dwight after he was fired, I wonder why that is? I think this thread is a clear example of the hate they were speaking about.

Personally i think part of the hate is/was deserved, part not.

I don't remember all this hate for Paul George when he was ****ing Hibbert girl being a bad leader for example, but i read about Harden not riding the same bus as others...is Brewer a bad teammate too since he goes to the game walking alone?

I also remember that Harden won the player's mvp making media's opinion less relevant.

And i also remember that a lot of guys out there, media, fans and players hate Dwight.

“Throw it down to him occasionally but if you throw it down to him on a steady diet the poor guy just can’t get down low and move any more. I think that back bothered him, his hips are tight from that and he just wasn’t the same player. He’s worked hard on it. The kid does work hard on his physical conditioning and trying to get healthy and stuff. But he is not what he used to be down there in the low post. And I think the knee surgery, too.”

"THE REALITY OF DWIGHT IS, AFTER HE LOSES, FIVE MINUTES LATER HE’S OVER THAT LOSS. WHEREAS, I KNOW WHEN I PLAYED AND COACHED, WHEN I LOST I WAS MISERABLE. AND I WANTED TO BE MISERABLE. I THINK THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT THAT MISERY THAT MADE ME A BETTER COACH AND A BETTER PLAYER, BECAUSE I JUST KIND OF WALLOWED IN THAT MISERY. AND I WAS ALWAYS AMAZED WHEN GUYS COULD KIND OF TURN THE PAGE REALLY QUICKLY LIKE THAT.”

Just a couple of quotes post firing, they are from this year. This is daunting considering Howard admitted to quitting when he wasn't getting the ball. if Mchale stuck with the premise of going to him only occasionally when Dwight wanted the ball more he could very well be the thing that broke the team chemistry entirely. This could have been when Dwight went to Morey. The reason I bring this up is because most negative media is on Harden and Morey and Les.

McHale said Howard wasn't the solution, but not the problem either

    Wasn't aware of that either...

But if those two quotes are the most "anti" thing Mchale said about Howard or Harden for that matter, its much ado about nothing IMO.

Sounds like a classy guy giving some thoughts but not exactly throwing other people under the bus.

You think Mchale saying that he only wanted to give the ball to Dwight occasionally and Dwight admitting he went to Morey wanting the ball more and quit when he didn't get it is nothing. Then someone else here points out Mrs. Mchale and the Kardasians, lol. This is clearly proof that people especially on this board totally ignore the truth to outright hate Harden, lol. It's sad really.

the what are you going on about now lol? how does my simple statement about what mchale might have said based on those two quotes have anything to do with hating Harden? Furthermore I havent even commented on Howard or Morey or what either might have said, so how and where am I saying its nothing?:rolleyes:

    seriously learn to read.

They have earned the rep, but the funny thing is it can flip the other way as quick as it got this way.
