Hell, at least they mentioned defense. They are cognizant that the fans, Rockets sites, and national media (local media, not so much) are not drinking the kool-aid. I will say this - defense does have a lot to do with effort and energy. Watching the OKC game last night it was clear that OKC had to work so much harder to get a bucket than GSW. Sure, Curry can jack up a contested 3 5 seconds into the shot clock, but GSW also get a ton of easy lay ups based on ball movement. In game 7 of the WCF there is no doubt OKC is giving full effort on D. But they looked tired from having to slog it out and a lot of that is from the offense. If we can get easy buckets here and there (think Adelman's back door layups) it could save energy and re-energize the team. i mean, we are where we are. maybe it won't be totally awful.
You can't seriously believe Les thinks only 3 coaches have won 60 games in history. He clearly means among ACTIVE HEAD COACHES.

Has Les said or done anything lately to earn the benefit of the doubt? Morey just said in this same press conference that only 3 or 4 other teams have made the WCF in the last 10 years. The actual number is 10. I think these guys are so desperate to spin this mess that they're just throwing out numbers and stats that mean absolutely nothing to the average fan.
