The Cleveland Cavaliers will win the 2016 NBA championship! I know this because the NBA is rigged. Quote me when it happens!

No I’m not a psychic...I can just see through the bs!

This should be a good matchup. Cleveland is improved from last year and healthy and well-rested. However, they haven't been tested. They haven't played anyone near the level of OKC or else they might not be in the playoffs any longer. No excuses for the Cavs this time. Golden State has also improved and is better than they were last year.

Love and Irving will hurt them defensively as much as they will help offensively. Their bench is still a bit of a concern. It seems they've been designed and constructed to be able to compete with the GSW in terms of shooting threes and going small. It will be interesting to see how the Cavs handle the adversity they are likely to face going up against the Warriors. That will tell us a lot.

The Warriors finally showed signs of being able to play at the ultra-elite level we're used to seeing. However, their defense needs to improve, because there is no player like Roberson that you can just ignore on the offense end for the Cavaliers. They are coming in battle tested, which to me is a positive and outweighs the potential fatigue that may or may not accompany their series victory over OKC.

One key matchup will be Love vs. Green. If Draymond can neutralize Love on the offensive end, that will make it more difficult for Cleveland. I don't think Cavs will have Love guard Green, because of his poor defense. That would be a field day for GSW. They'll probably try to hide him on Bogut, which will force Thompson to have to leave the paint and come out and guard Green. They would lose their rim protector and best rebounder as a result. Not to mention Green can take Tristan off the dribble. What happens when the Warriors go small aka their so-called lineup of death? There will be matchup problems there too. You can't hide Love on defense with that lineup.

The Cavs were probably hoping that OKC would eliminate the Warriors for them so they can enjoy HCA and play against a team that Lebron has historically had success against. I think in the end it will be a little too much for the Cavs to handle. Let's go with another exciting series with Golden State winning in 7.

huh? I didn't say anything about my thoughts on this series other than it should be interesting. I merely quoted that person talking to themselves.

By the way, as I've mentioned a few times in other threads, I have a relatively large futures bet on the Warriors to win the championship. I made it the day Curry went down with his injury in the playoffs due to the odds being adjusted favorably for Golden State and I'm sticking with it. Don't plan on hedging or arbitraging. If I lose the bet, so be it.

Na man. Cavs will be outmatched and it will be evident right away. Warriors win this in 5 or 6.

I am rooting for Warriors but I think LBJ and the Cavs have a good chance in this series.

Both teams fully loaded, it's gonna be an epic match up.

Lebron needs to call Hakeem for inspiration like his first championship with the Heat. Also revisited Hakeem's training in the low post. Lebron needs it. Is obvious the Warriors will play Iguodala on Lebron 1on1 and Lebron need to dominate Iguodala in the post to force the Warriors to adjust and open up his teammates like Fyre, Smith etc.

If Lebron failed to dominate the game will be over in 6 games.

    Why is this the finals:(:(
I really do not want any of these teams to win (When we lost I would have preferred the spurs, and otherwise the thunder).

    Cleveland:
They are a terribly run franchise which got lucky that Lebron was from their neighborhood. They got 3 number 1 draft picks.

I cannot stand the way Irving plays. I do not like PG who do not pass.

    GS
I really dislike Green. He is a dirty player. I have to say that I appreciate how hard he works, and also how good he defends and passes. I like it when a player plays physical, but he made many really dirty plays against Adams. Also he gets to complain much more than other players.

Overall I think GS deserves it the most. They developed their own talent without many high draft picks. But Green and the way people really drool al over them makes me want them to lose.

For me this finals is similar to having to choose between Trump and Cruz, I cannot be happy if either wins.

This is really where I have a hard time seeing Cleveland staying in the series. Cleveland's super-offense small ball lineup is Irving, Smith, James, Love and Frye. That's a whole bunch of shooters plus James. Awesome offensively. But that's four huge defensive minuses. The Warriors' lineup of death is Curry, Thompson, Iguodala, Barnes and Green. The worst defender of that group is Curry who's, at worst, average. Barnes is average to above average. Thompson is good, Igoudala and Green are brilliant. And it's at least as potent offensively as Cleveland's.

How does Cleveland even begin to defend that lineup? They're looking at horrific mismatches everywhere except James' man. The Warriors simply aren't facing those types of mismatches going the other way. Curry will likely defend Smith, Thompson will defend Irving, Iguodala will defend James, Barnes will defend Frye and Green will defend Love. Really no mismatches at all, for Golden State.

Frye is not a starter material, I do not think he can guard Barnes, or any other GS players. Cavs should go big.

Rooting for the CAVs to the max. Let's see what happens. The key is for Love's shots to keep falling for the Cavs to win.
