There's no use trying to reason with someone who A. thinks the NBA is rigged for certain teams and outcomes AND B. gets upset and whines when those teams and outcomes happen.
On some level it's sports entertainment even when it's rigged, much like WWE or whatever. I know, I probably just blew some of your minds saying the WWE is rigged.... At some point it does become annoying when you watch a game that is rigged, and when that happens, I do turn it off. Some fool themselves into thinking it's totally legit and they are glued to their seats. To each their own. We know for a fact that the NBA has rigged games and even entire playoff series' in the past, the fact that this is still seen as some kind of crazy conspiracy theory just shows how easy it is to fool a significant portion of the population.
His skillset and all intangibles are irreplaceable so yeah he's the ideal fit and leader on tht team. Their heart and soul via all his teammates and coaches. Maybe if he looked a bit closer to the splash brothers would he be more liked
The fact that Draymond Green hasn't been suspended for multiple flagrants, given technicals for numerous violations, and that Golden State are allowed moving screens to free up their shooters. It ruins the integrity of the game.
WWE fans enjoy the scripting. You clearly don't. You keep saying the NBA relies on people who don't believe the game is rigged, which is hilarious considering that you claim to see through it...and still follow and care about it. In other words, even if you're right...you're admitting you're stupid. That's pretty incredible.
He probably watches movies and cartoons and yell FAKE FAKE FAKE & RIGGED RIGGED RIGGED whenever the storylines isn't to his liking.
I wonder what the stats are/were on open shots? Meaning, who got more looks with nobody within x feet of them type thing. It seems like because of the Warriors amazing offensive scheme that it is a beauty to watch, a great offense, etc. But the more I watched, the more it appeared that most of the Warriors shots are guarded. And guarded well. They're just really f'ing good shooters.
Klay is 6'7 so he can shoot over pretty much anyone with that release/form, it just depends on whether hes hot or cold

As I predicted, it killed the Stanley cup finals game 1 on nbc. That game got like a 2.2 or something. If the era where Allen iverson, Marbury and stevie franchise were considered the best point guards didn't ruin the NBA nothing will
I'm at a loss why the most protected team consistently is allowed to take less free throws than their opponent. Then again, I also do not really see the magnets which make the Splash brothers seem so good while being rigged. Bobby, don't you just hate it when reality destroys your position? I assume that you are looking at the facts and just pounding the table... how can my fantasies not be true? How can this be.........??? This is just like people screaming how much better players were in the 80ies. When confronted that in literally every sport players have gotten more athlectic you can feel their minds explode ad they realize that this is indeed irrefutable.
Bobby is another dork playing a character on a message board. At least I hope so for his sake. These people should be pitied... their lives are so brutal that they feel a need to invent alternate realities on the internet.
I have been a Rocketsfan since the eighties, but it's mindboggling that with our current "system"people here are seriously touting : "GSW ruined Basketball, "GSW is an easy to hate team"", "Curry is just a fluke".... Guys... I needed to bleach my eyes after most of our games the last two years. Our gameplay is seriously the most unattractive we ever played. Our stars are unlikable. And yet we complain about a team that uses the same ideas to show motion, grit, skills and fun? I'm angry. I'm very angry. And this is why I agree with Les going for a more attractive style by hiring MDA. Make it enjoyable for fans to look at this team again. It does not need to become the second suns, the Spurs or GSW. But no more of this crap. *wheezes* F*this.
Because FT's would negate Warriors 3 pointers which is what fans find exciting about the warriors. Better to give them wide open 3's than FT's by letting Bogut and Green get away with Hug-and-rolls, Butt-and-rolls. Shove and rolls, trip-and-rolls. (you get the idea) For me it's frustrating to see how the game has evolved ESPECIALLY when we used to have Yao Ming and he would get called for an illegal screen just for pivoting the wrong way. One foot would be planted and he would pivot to face the basket and get called for it while Bogut and green not get called for raising their arms up and grabbing or football blocking or sticking out their ass. With that said, my hate towards the warriors are mostly towards Bogut and Green (and the refs that don't call it) Steph and Klay are phenomenal phenomenal shooters taking advantage of those screens. Curry celebrates a little bit too much for my liking but I can understand that when you do what he does at the rate he does, it's hard not to. Their screens are usually things that happen on last second end of the game plays (karl malone bear hug) but these happen on nearly every play. It's frustrating to watch to say the least.
I haven't read through the madness here, but maybe someone has pointed out the irony that the Rockets have 'ruined basketball' by doing the same things the Rockets tried (but failed) to do? The Rockets weren't good enough to ruin basketball. (For the record, I don't like watching a team that prances around the paint with wide open layups but passes it out to the corner 100% of the time. I agree that the 3 point circus is hurting watchability of basketball, but that's probably a very minority opinion. Don't even get me started on the completely biased refereeing on screens and holds. Pretty nice to be a shooter with an offensive line.)
Agreed. Rockets didn't ruin basketball as a whole, they only managed to ruin basketball for me and other Houstonians.
If the NBA didn't rig games, the rockets would've been the warriors both years and have been in the finals right?
Here is why the whype the warriors ruined basketball. Because the 3 pointer makes every other stat irrelevant. You could beat the warriors in every area of the game but they make 14 threes to your 2 and they win the game it's just way too big of an advantage. Nobody is saying that grind it out basketball is superior. It's just that you can't have 1 area of basketball have as much influence over the game as this does.
