but watching James Harden's slow and plodding game where in the end he's just trying to draw a foul and get some more free throws IS fun to watch?
I hate the Warriors, but OKC straight up choked. Does GSW get away with BS that no one else gets away with? Yeah, probably. But OKC was up 3-1, were at home, were up most of the game, but shriveled in the 4th quarter. Unless the refs went into KD and WB's brain to make them go hero ball against an elite team defense, then it's no one else's fault but their own.
It's not a "storyline" it's the obvious truth. I mean seriously if you can't realize that the Dubs are propped up by the league then, like is said before, you should probably watch a different sport because it's kind of clear you don't know what you are seeing when you watch basketball. When it comes to OKC and Golden State, I don't like either team, so there's no bias when I'm watching the games. In a perfect world both teams would have lost.
Your first mistake was taking ANY of bobby's posts seriously. He is the embodiment of delusion. Just let stupid be stupid and don't mess with it. I personally enjoy laughing from a distance.
When players get hacked trying to take the ball to the basket or get bumped on shots and the refs ignore it making it essentially a turnover and then call those things as fouls on the other end, it makes a huge difference in games. That's exactly what happened last night. Did Golden State make a bunch of shots? Of course, but they also got away with hacking Durant and Westbrick, something no other team gets away with.
He is still salty over one of the worst if not the very worst take in the GARM. He is trying to downplay his stupidity and lack of basketball knowledge by making a myriad of excuses.
I didn't know the Warriors were going to be propped up by the league as much as they were and I didn't see the Rockets imploding or the Grizzlies injury problems. Other than that, it's pretty solid for a pre-season prediction. That said, I know you're just trying your best to troll here so sure, whatever.
Funny enough, the actual worst take in the history of the GARM is FTW Rockets FTW's sig so essentially every time he posts anything at all, it's the worst post ever.
I've never said they don't questionable calls called in their favour, but that alone doesn't make a team go 73-9 and dominate every series (Except for first games of this one). You're seriously thinking that GSW won this series because of the refs? OKC lost three in a row because of refs? Did the refs tell OKC to choke like mental midgets, f*** up their defensive rotations, chuck up bad shots and play hero-ball? Did the refs make GSW move the ball better, defend better and play better teamball? Embarassing, you should find another sport if you think GSW is only winning because of refs.
The Warriors are consistently better than most any team they face like Duke is in college basketball. They are a great team but they do get the benefit of brief periods of 8 on 5. For whatever reason, they have a great overall reputation with the refs. Similar to Jordan or other stars occasionally getting away with traveling or usually being on the good side of a 50-50 call. Saying the Warriors don't get the benefit of the calls is as ignorant as saying their success is all based on their calls. I don't like the Warriors because I view them as a rival to the Rockets and cheering for them would be like cheering for the Jazz in the 90s. It didn't happen then and it won't happen now. Plus I want to see Cleveland the city get a title and at least Tyronne Lue played here briefly so go Houston connection!
SMH oh well, I don't know why I bother with you children to begin with. If you want to buy the hype the NBA is selling you then by all means, gobble that BS down. When you have a good team that gets away with blatantly breaking the rules on both sides of the court, then it's going to win you a ton of games. If you can't see that, fine. It really doesn't matter to me.
Answer the questions. "OKC lost three in a row because of refs? Did the refs tell OKC to choke like mental midgets, f*** up their defensive rotations, chuck up bad shots and play hero-ball? Did the refs make GSW move the ball better, defend better and play better teamball?" Please tell me how the refs lead to GSW winning this game, I watched the game specifically with the salt on CF in mind and had to laugh because the only thing I saw was OKC getting murdered in every aspect of basketball. All I see from you are excuses, shying away from the actual game and "you don't know basketball, media hype jajaja" crap, either reply with actual content or keep your whining to yourself.
That is absolutely the narrative you are being fed, glad to see you are eating it up. There's really no point in me arguing with you, so I'm just going to end it here. It would be like arguing with a r****ded kid that thought 1+1 was kitty.....ya just have to let him keep thinking it because you can't change his mind. If you didn't see one sided calls in the last 3 games that gave OKC the advantage they needed to come back and win the series....well that's fine with me, I'll just make a note of it and disregard your opinion in the future.
Who would've guessed, no reply regarding the actual game and more of the same bullsh. Great to debate basketball with you, sir.
Why would I bother doing that with a 1+1 = kitty kind of person? You've already admitted that you have no idea what is going on when you watch basketball so I'd just be wasting my time talking to you like you were competent enough for that kind of conversation.
Do you even believe the crap you're saying? Truly sorry if you are, it's sad to see someone not able to back up their claims or to reply to actual content and then write such nonsense again and again. Feels like you're not able to come with any factual explanation for GSW winning. And the 1+1=kitty crap doesn't make you look any smarter, everyone can see that you're just throwing out claims and can't actually explain what's happening during games.
OKC with no ball movement, 7/27 threes, twice as much FTs and allowing a 12-29 during an abysmal choke job in the 3rd quarter, screw teh evil refs wahwahh.
If you enjoy pump fakes and rim attacks, you should love the Warriors...they do a lot of pump/shot faking on close-outs in order to drive past, either for a dish, a floater or a lay-up. They were one of the best teams in the paint, they just didn't do it with post-ups.
Reading Bobbythegreat's work is such a time warp--I remember hearing and reading fans who earnestly tried to convince people that the Bulls were babied and protected by the officials and that's why they won. Jordan traveled on every drive, the Bulls hacked on every play but didn't get called for it, Rodman was committing a loose ball foul on over half his rebounds, etc. No, wait, I was reminded of fans who earnestly tried to convince people that the Shaq/Kobe Lakers were babied and protected by the officials. Especially the officiating of Shaq's dislodging of defenders. Plus, of course, in certain playoff games against the Kings and Timberwolves. The more things change, the more they remain the same.
