Some big nuggets from Chip Brown (take for what it's worth): - Mack Brown was asked about the interim HC job but wasn't interested unless it was permanent. - Bennett would have been the interim HC if he would have dismissed a few players. Bennett wouldn't do it so they moved onto Brown and Grobes. - Apparently the big money donors (McClane) aren't being kept in the loop after Briles was canned. There was some interest in Dan Mullen as well but concern about buyouts and salary without the donors on board.
It's very difficult for me to take Chip Brown seriously at this point. The "big nuggets" he's reported on so far have all been false.
I don't think so. I think the Briles family isn't real thrilled with Baylor University. Kendall won't have a problem finding a job somewhere else.
I don't think anyone named Briles will be the head coach at Baylor anytime soon. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that's gonna happen.
The ones regarding what would happen in this matter. That Briles was going to keep his job and Starr was getting axed. He ran with a bunch of unsubstantiated stuff, and the opposite of what he claimed was about to happen actually happened. He kinda has a reputation for that.
That sounds logical but I don't think KB was mentioned even once in the PH report and also keep in mind that most of the issues were guys on defense. It's not unbelievable that he was truly left out of the loop in all of this.
I'm not a huge Brown fan but that's not what he said to be fair. http://www.scout.com/college/texas/story/1671399-sources-starr-will-be-bu-s-fall-guy It was conditional on specific findings in the report. He also said Star would be reassigned to the law school which is exactly what happened.
And there were no findings of an overt cover-up. Negligence...but not overt cover up by McCaw. It doesn't matter...Chip Brown isn't part of the story. I just don't find him to be particularly reliable. I think he runs with things way too quickly in order to be first....and that's not a Chip Brown problem, honestly...there are lots out there who do the very same.
Without actually calling it an over cover-up, that's pretty much what the report revealed. I agree with this but like I said, he's been more right than wrong for the most part. Not 100% by any means but no one is.
I don't think it has anything to do with KB being mentioned in the report. The guy's last name is Briles. He's Art's son. I don't see Baylor keeping that around in the long term, honestly. Again...I don't know for sure, just my opinion.
Still trying to figure out whether that was the full report or a BU summary. But either way, I believe all names were redacted or intentionally omitted.

Did they release the actual PH report? I only saw that Baylor summary of some of the findings of fact.
