Not sure if serious? Correa is slumping...bad. Giving him a day off to let him refocus a little is perfectly fine, necessary even. Right now I would rather have Marwin out there anyway the way CC has been hitting.
Are you seriously complaining that Correa, who is slashing .217/.291/.358/.649 this month and .120/.120/.160/.280 in the past 7 days is not in the starting lineup? A day or 2 on the bench may do him some good.
For people who are mainly a Football or Basketball fan, but will watch baseball when nothing else is going on....they will never understand how much baseball is a mental grind, and that many times a day to sit back and breathe can be the best cure. Baseball is a totally different animal than any other sport
Why put on the flame suit? Trout is 24 years old, plays a premium position and is arguably the best player in the league. Right now, the only thing Correa has over him is the Astros have significant team control.
Altuve's lead was obnoxious. That pitched should have been replaced had he not tried to pick him off.
Blummer in a subtle way calling out Hinch there by questioning when he's going to shut down the green light for these base runners. It's unacceptable.
I'm serious. Giving players vacation days off when all hell is breaking loose is just adding wind to the typhoon. Ship is sinking. When the pressure builds, let's just take a break. That shows up on the field and I think your seeing it with the baserunning, the fielding, and the lack of focus at the plate. If you want to get out of a funk you work at it. You don't kick your feet up and look at the flowers. There is a serious drop off when Correa isn't out there both in the field and at the plate. There's no time to just throw a game to the wind.
Albert Pujols is a year away from being the worst contract in baseball. Ala carlos Lee at his Astro end.
