If you take a look at the roster and look at Daryl Morey's history of players he drafted and players he brought in through free agency are all players who fit in well in Mike D'Antoni's system.
It'll be fun to watch in the regular season, but we won't get a chance to showcase our offense in the playoffs since we won't be eligible
mildly excited about total offense, it will be entertaining with mike making room four a younger coach.
Please stop talking Rubbish, complete rubbish, The team needs to have a new tem + Harden. That is whhere you start from. Y
I am excited too. If he can run the defense further into the ground and continue bad chemistry, maybe this team will only win 30 games and we can get a good draft pick.
I thibk Beasly is going to flourish also under MDA! Beautful jumper, dantoni will make sure he is in the right spot.

Come on bro... The Rockets went from 20th to 6th in defensive efficiency during the Harden era with McHale running the show. The season was an outlier as we aren't an inherently bad defensive team.
You are talking about a guy who was described by Jalen Rose as being clueless in Phoenix in terms of having a plan, a guy who has been trashed by Kobe, Pau Gasol, and Carmelo - and a guy who has never led a good defensive team in his career - even when he was paired with a defensive specialist in NY. If a coach can't deal with big egos, he's not going to succeed with Harden. Nash was a special player in his attitude...Harden is closer to Carmelo and needs a coach he will respect. He will not respect MDA. It's going to be bad, I'm sorry, I can only call it like I see it.
Here's how I see it: 1. MDA did best when paired with a great PNR player, which we have. Harden is flat out a better passer than Melo and is closer to Nash than Melo. 2. It's much easier with our current personnel to be elite offensively than defensively. 3. We aren't an inherently bad defensive team. I personally like a HC who is more balanced and with our situation, experienced at coaching at a high level. Messina would have been my vote with JVG afterwards purely because I am so curious how he would do in the current NBA.
Hope Mike Antoni can reach Harden to be show up every game in the playoffs. Understood those PHX teams went to the WCF, but need to see consistency.
I was not excited by the move since it was counter-intuitive to the problems of this past year. However, I can see the logic. MDA is clearly an innovative offensive mind since so many of the best teams in the league have adopted many of his principles. He's worked with Team USA, so he's still held in esteem and is still coaching. JVG, my preferred choice, has not coached for a long time and there would be some doubt about how he could adapt to the faster paced NBA that D'Antoni mostly developed. I am cautiously optimistic with this hire's impact on rebuilding the roster around Harden. MDA teams have always helped players get *paid,* so his hire might also help attract a lot of second and third tier free agents who have not maxed out their talents in other places. I feel like this rebuild will need to focus on finding undervalued talent, which is one of Morey's strengths as GM, IMO. Removing Dwight from the roster is not without risk, but Morey will have a lot more options in constructing a team. I think the key will be in building a roster around the 7SOL system. MDA was unable to do this in New York, or LA. Obviously, we need to perform better defensively and play harder, generally. On the down side, I am sceptical how a defensive coordinator can meld with MDA's system effectively since his teams have never been better than middle of the pack defensively. Golden State has shown it is possible to play with pace and play effective D.
We might really look at keep JSmoove Can he reform and reclaim Terrence Jones? Both should be very cheap this off season Same with DMo . .. but DMo won't be cheap so he can go too much risk involved Rocket River
