This owner is just bad as the Knicks owner, but Les is much more cheaper owner. He likely saves $2M to avoid JVG or Vogel.
Reading comments section on D'Antoni hiring article on ESPN. Not good when a lot of post begin "As a [Rockets' rival] fan, I absolutely love this hire..."
Praying there is some sort of hang up, and another coaching candidate comes swooping in. What a depressing coaching search...
That's the common thinking but it's most likely wrong. 23 + 15 + 15 = 53 Right now headed into July 1, nobody is willing to pay 3/54.
Thanks, I did. But Deuce had the excellent suggestion of adding pringles for the wine munchies. It all makes too much sense.
Where Morey had input and seemed to give 'direction' to McHale and JBB, he will have no pull with D'Antoni since MDA was hired directly by Les. Curious to see how that plays out.
since we can't change anything now, might as well accept the fact and hope for the best, looking forward to the free agent signing and roster upgrade

I hate this line of thinking. All of a sudden D'Antoni is the only guy in the NBA who knows how to install a solid offensive system? **** no. There's lot of guys who can do it. And when you consider that D'Antoni's system hasn't been championship level successful without prime Steve Nash it's an even more idiotic statement. The last ****ing thing I want to see is this current core of Rockets running a SSOL offense. There's no way it is any better at the end of the day than what they did this year and it will shred their defense to ****. This is a team that couldn't defend a fast break if it was 2 on 5, and they had the 5 running back. Which, btw, is why D'Antoni's teams have sucked recently. If the players can't run his system, and many can't, it completely shreds your team. It's not designed for efficiency. It's designed for pace above all else. Fortunately for D'Antoni, he had an all time great PG who understood how to play at that pace while finding the most efficient shot. But more often than not without that it ends up with taking faster shots, but not better shots.
Not to mention his offense doesn't work if the team leader decides not to play his offense. Worked great with Nash and Amare in Phoenix. Worked great with Felton and Amare in NY. Worked great with Lin and scrub. Did not work with Melo because he didn't want to give up the ball. Harden will hold on to the ball, 8 seconds are more, that's his motto. "8 SECONDS OR MORE, NO LESS HARDEN"- PRINGLES
How does that quote mean Mike is the only guy in the league that knows how to install a solid offensive system? Pretty sure it just means that he is a coach that knows how to do it, not that he is the only one. The current roster won't be the same one on the court next year. If this team has any sense they will get guys that will fit the Mike D system. If they don't the team won't even be worth watching.
