Small percentage of overall fans maybe but huge percentage of that fan site and the people I hear call into talk radio. Yea, I see now that the NCAA would not have jurisdiction to punish Baylor over non compliance matters which seems like a major hole in the system.

If Baylor remotely mattered to anyone outside of waco then this would have been a GIANT scandal that would spend every day in the headlines and on network news. OU, UT, USC, Alabama etc. would have been taken to the shack months ago. It's because people don't really care about the school that much that it doesn't move the needle in national news.

The sooner you realize that cash is king, the better off you'll be. The NCAA is a joke.. You should write them letters of recommendation.

Also, Lol at you being happy about Baylor losing by 3 with a WR playing QB and us running the wildcat the entire game. It should have been 5 wins in the last 6 meetings. Coulda woulda shoulda ate a booga though. I'll be in Austin for the next one.

You got quotes for this? Sure I was happy to get a win, but I certainly never bragged about it on this site. (Is this where I mention that basically our entire first string defense was also injured? Or are you guys the only ones allowed to play that card?)

Again, though, this isn't about football. This isn't about the NCAA. This is about a man taking advantage of his power (and the "WINNING IS KING" attitude so exquisitely expressed by you in this thread) to allow dangerous men to prey on college women without consequence.

The more you bring up football, the more it becomes clear that you (much like most of your brethren) have sold your soul to football success.

^It doesn't matter what I think (Rock voice). Penn State fans defended JoPat. It is what it is.

Wow. I really hope this 'Texas is jealous!' narrative ends.

Stop talking about football. Seriously. Do something about the sexual assault epidemic on your campus. I'm not even saying that firing Starr/Briles is the solution. There is an element of bringing justice to rape-enablers, but I really just hope the school does whatever solves the problem going forward.

I honestly just think the school can't handle having a sports program. See Bliss/Baylor basketball for reference.

Why I bring Longhorns fans is because there's clearly something different about y'all. You guys are the most outraged by far. I've seen UH and A&M fans call out Texas fans to shut up about it. Freakin daily updates.

You mean the coach that was fired for his part in a major criminal scandal? yea ok.

It's because the culture here is vastly different. The school takes sexual assault very seriously and launches investigations into every single student complain. They don't tell them to get lose because assault didn't happen on campus. It's also a very liberal city that takes rights issues very seriously. It's disgusting, offensive and embarrassing that we are affiliated with a university that turns blind eyes on rape and keeps plays active as they continue to acclimating victims.

I'll never be ashamed about being outraged by/bringing awareness to a sexual assault scandal. Happy to be lumped into that group.

If the Waco PD/media/Baylor administration would have done their jobs, then there wouldn't have been a need for someone else to get outraged.

Baylor fans seem far more upset at Longhorn fans than the rapists that assaulted women on their campus. Their private, religious campus.

    Football > Jesus, I guess.

UH fan here - It is absolutely ridiculous that Baylor hasn't done more. Art Briles should NOT be employed by the University anymore.

Also, UT fans are upset because their coach handles allegations / behavior such as this correctly and actually DOES SOMETHING. Baylor has always been "Look the Other Way University"

It's no coincidence that this is the same school that employed a coach that wanted to sweep a murder under the rug.

I know its probably a tiny fraction of the fan base but there are Baylor fans that legitimately believe that ESPN ran the story because of Texas and the LHN. And while it seems that Longhorn fans are the most vocal about it, it's probably because there are more of us than probably any other Big 12 school on this board. Also, it's the offseason so not much else to discuss.

Ken Starr was a major problem. This isn't just a problem in the athletics department. It's a problem campus wide in Waco and all over the nation. He's trying to get cute now bc he's getting thrown under the bus but two wrongs don't make a right.

I think Briles will eventually get fired for this anyways.

How is that being cute? He was without a doubt a major problem but is he the most culpable person in this case? I'm sure he doesn't believe to be so why not release the whole story?

    Yeah perhaps after the season.

Oh and I'll stop talking football once y'all stop talking about where our recruits will end up. Plenty of Texas fans are drooling over our players. Lol.
