Pretty much. It's why I've avoided leaked titles and episode summaries. I've gone as far as to try and avoid reading which actors are in episodes during the opening sequence.

I'm glad I started reading the last page first and not go back a few pages to read people's reactions. I would like to go back and read people's thoughts on the episode but some ass clown has to try and prove he's better than everyone else and reveal something That happens later, i.e. A spoiler. i think there should be a detailed psychological analysis on people who insist on spoiling things. The act of spoiling has slowly become one of my biggest pet peeves. Shame. Shame Shame
How is this thread about the show any different than the previous five TV show season threads? Book readers types cannot shut up about spoilers. Just can't stick to the book thread for their discusion. Must go into the TV season thread to show everyone how smart they are and ruin it for show watchers. They can't help it.
I don't discuss the definition of a spoiler just to argue. I do it as explanation of why I won't read this thread if we can't agree on basic principles. And I love reading this thread, because guys like you are so good at answering questions regarding past events. What just happened is the same as if someone posted actors from Breaking Bad re-appearing in Saul. Many people never watch "scenes from next week." Stating reveals of the return of an actor/actress "according to IMDB" who were withheld from scenes from next week is worse. This principle of spoilers is the same for all shows, not just ones with books. I remember water-cooler talk each week about The Sopranos. You had one group who watched the scenes from next week that liked to discuss it, but they respected the ones who didn't and knew not to do so in front of them. anyhoot, thanks to all posters who make this a great thread. It really is fun reading on a Monday. The reveal slipped out by rhino12. It happens. as an aside: word of advice to those who are behind on any season of shows where people get off'd a lot. Don't read about actors/actresses on IMDB or wiki's; they post number of seasons they were in, plain and clear. Pretty much tells you when they die.

Theres nothing to spoil. No one here knows which direction the show is going. The actor being included in IMDB could be used in a flashback. People need to chill the f*** out. Hodor.
Nah, it's a spoiler. Doesn't bother me but it's a spoiler. People researching and going out of their way to uncover clues, then posting them with no spoiler tags, that's a spoiler.
Last Sunday I stumbled on to this thread to share my anticipation for that night's show. Little did I know that the episode had leaked and people were commenting on it already. I didn't see anything concrete, but it was fairly obvious that a beloved character died (hard to watch/tears in my eyes). I went the entire episode scared to death that Arya and then Bran would die -- when Hodor died, I felt relieved it was him and not Bran... while everyone else was distraught. I need to stay away from this damn thread. I SAID GOOD DAY!
See this I can live with.. but calling out book readers is total non-sense as there's nothing really to spoil.
Geez the butthurt is strong in some - so we know an actor is in the next episode now - cool let's have some fun trying to figure out if he is Cold Hands, or just himself, or will help Bran.... DD
But book readers are the one spoiling as they posted theories on a character being introduced that TV show readers have no clue about. Book readers have also posted theories that include minor spoilers because there's more lore and material that was either skipped or adapted for the TV show. That's what they've done for the past five seasons and what they're continuing to do every year, and posters argue about spoilers over and over again. Book readers have never learned.
Or maybe the folks who don't like spoilers won't take personal responsibility and not come into the thread. DD
The thread is called "[Game of Thrones] Season Six". It's to discuss the TV show's sixth season. It's not called "[Game of Thrones] Season Six + Book Spoilers" or "[ASOIAF+GoT] Book and Show Discussion".
