MY issues is not with time, in a show like this there will always be that issue. My problem was with two other events: 1) Theon taking all those ships with his sister and nobody realizing it. Then the uncle goes through his Kinging ritual and stands up and asks about the two people who are likely to take revenge for the murder of their father. Strange sequence. 2) The zombies breaking through the door which seemed really solid, felt like they could have done a better job with the way it went down. By the way I think Bran being shown what happens to Hoddor as his last lesson has big implications in the story. He wouldn't just do that unless it really was to teach Bran the consequences of going back and warging. Probably means that there is more to it than just Hoddor becoming Holdthedoor as well.
I'm glad it happened to move the story along. But like the other Starks, Bran just F'd things up royally. Getting everyone killed. The Starks can't stop being idiots. They're the Rick Grimes of GoT.
Why are you so sensitive? People are free to say what they want, and I am free to make fun of people complaining about small inconsistencies. DD
I think most of these complaints are unfounded, but saying "its fiction" doesn't justify flaws in anything.
If you are worried about the distance traveled in a fictional land as a way to complain about the show, you are in too deep. No one knows how much time has passed between scenes, they are jumping around through time, and through locations to tell a big story. Some people hold on too dearly to a fictional reality, just strange to me, we see that a lot in video games and lore too - just amazing. DD
Not to be nitpicky but the Red Woman didn't have anything to do with curing Shireen. Stannis said last season that he brought in every healer & Maester from around the world, and eventually "they" stopped it from spreading. So its a little vague as to what and who can heal it, but the Citadel (school for Maesters) would be my first place to start. However I wouldn't be surprised to see Jorah go back to Qarth (remember season 2) and go see the woman with the mask that has a much bigger role in the books. Remember she gave the line "in order to go forward, you have to go back" or something of that sense. My guess is he goes back to Qarth to see her, and maybe there is a chance for him to have an interesting side story this next second half of the season, but my guess is we don't see Jorah for sometime.
You have a small girl carrying a cripple away from a running zombie herd. Exactly how are they going to outrun them??? Should've tied the sled onto Summer and let him/her carry them to safety or something. Come on son. Bran is surely a goner next week? Only thing stopping him now is plot armor. Another week passed, another great episode. This season is going at a frantic pace and it doesn't seem like it's going to slow down!
How well do people like Jorah? I thought he started out great. And the actor has Charlton Heston-like good looks. But, his pining has gotten tiresome. I was relieved when he said he was leaving to die in some corner, but then Dany opened the prospect of some long plotline of his own.
Great episode, but agree with you. Hodor would have to hold the door for like 10 hours to give Meera any chance to put distance between her and that horde, assuming they would chase Bran. I like Jorah. Good actor and his obsession is believable.
I think it was clear they are using the blinding snowstorm as plot armor/cover. The horde wasn't really a horde. At least not like we're used to seeing (several thousand). Seemed like a few hundred.
There is another Red Priestess in Meereen right now who could cure it. Jorah should just go there with Dany. Oh well
