You guys are a bunch of drama queens. Watch my despicable master Morey catch us a Durant. You guys are hyperventilating.

Good OKC is doing well, though make no mistake, Leslie & Morey will still make the priority will good players get signed left and right. Then we pick up some scraps and Morey will say we were very close to signing him, we think we did well, you always go after a star when you get the chance, relationship with Harden matters etc.

Agreed with everyone saying to lockauupppp. After the game 1 win it was almost for sure KD stays unless games 2-5 are blowout wins by the Warriors. Leading 2-1 isn't a reason to leave OKC. Granted there is still a good chance they may lose the series it just shows what many people have said for a long time.

A team with two top 5 players will always contend for a championship, and it will be hard to find that anywhere.

Granted "top 5" is what you make of it and Harden 'could' be "top 5" just like Westbrook is but both are inconsistent but about even as well. Durant is the same, but he gets more leeway.

Still, why leave a good situation? I mean it could be the same here with Harden, but why would you leave when you have a player with the same caliber of talent in Westbrook and in an environment where you're already comfortable?

Our team with KD/Harden could hypothetically be as good as OKCs team with KD/WB, but why would KD even give it a shot if the Thunder are 2 wins and 4 attempts away from the finals and 6 wins and 11 attempts from the championship?

There were always well thought out reasons for KD coming to Houston from last season's end to the start of this season's playoffs, but now I can't think of any good reason. Destroyed the Mavericks like they should. Defeating the 67 win Spurs. Giving the Warriors a battle of the century.

This is a Thunder team that is playing better than their record because they are better than their record. It's a 60 win team because of the sheer talent on the roster, and it could even improve more next season. Why leave OKC?

    Lockauupppp.

The Thunder are a top-tier team peaking at the right time, but you have to wonder about this team's window in the long term. After all, Westbrook's otherworldly athleticism cannot last forever.

After winning he championship with OKC, Durant will seek a new challenge in Houston. It's only logical.

    Spock agrees.

This i'd say...things can change pretty quick, sadly.

I never thought there was a chance for the Thunder to be in the conference finals or in the nba finals but well...

only responding out of respect to someone that will openly felate others.

You must be easily impressed by the way, I won't bother with his quote since you set the bar pretty low for yourself. Also, have some self respect.

Their window? Westbrook and Durant are both 27. Kanter just turned 24. Adams is 22. Ibaka is 26. Waiters and Roberson are both 24. The only "old" guys playing any significant minutes for that team are Morrow and Foye who are 30 and 32 respectively.

Assuming they can hang onto Westbrook and Durant and they remain healthy, their window will be open for at least another 3-4 years. Hell, they've arguably got a brighter future than the Warriors given the age of Iggy and Bogut and how many free agents they've gotta resign or replace over the next 2 offseasons.

Really hoping that Morey doesn't key on Durant while putting other FA targets on the back burner.

My top target would be Conley. I'd also look to add Sullinger, Courtney Lee, Mahinmi and Jared Dudley. I'd focus my longshot attempt on Bradley Beal. With Anderson and Eric Gordon as my backup plan.

So ideally, my roster would be:

    Conley, Bev, Goudelock
    Harden, Dudley/Lee
    Ariza, McDanials, Decker
    Sullinger, Beasley, Harrell
    Capela/Mahinmi

I'm not even sure if they could make that work numbers wise, but the plan should definitely be to bring in players who are GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO and can fill specific roles. There's players out there that can immediately turn this team around. And unless Morey has some type of secret arrangement in place, chasing after Durant will be a fool's errand. Also, Morey is going to have to kiss his need for "flexibility" goodbye in order to get this thing fixed.

I don't know what they were thinking when trotting out guys like Jones and Brewer. And depending on Jason Terry for big minutes.

This team has multiple players at multiple positions are not good at the roles that they are asked to play. Stop rolling your eyes and open them up.

We started the season with basically the same personnel minus Smith and Pringles. Per reports, this was part of the players' request for chemistry consistency. Unfortunately for DM and fans, a lot of the things that went right last season went wrong this season. Some of it was DM's fault, but a lot of it wasn't. Fans don't ever see the big picture though. They always want someone to blame this instance.

I see the big picture and realize that blaming whomever for whatever is pointless. It is what it is.

The facts are that this team is in disarray. BUT, they have cap space, the opportunity to hire a good coach, and quality FAs in the field that can help this team get to where they want to go.

Time to stop swinging for the fences and manufacture some runs. We know that Morey can acquire talent, now let's see if he can build a team.

was kinda hoping OKC got swept only cause it might discourage durant to stay.

But realistically whats going to happen is, durant will resign on a ONE year deal. Westbrooks contract is up after next season. They will both asses if they want to stay, and will either part ways, or stay in OKC. Thats how i see it going down.
