Since the Rockets appear to have no filter on who they are interviewing, why not Calvin Murphy. He bleeds Rocket red and has more basketball knowledge than half the losers we are talking to. He is also a motivater who will let the team know when effort is lacking. I have thought for years that he would be a great coach if ever given a chance. I'd take him over Adrian Griffen any day of the week!
Seeing those suits on the sidelines on a nightly basis.. sounds lit lol I don't think Calvin Murphy is about that coaching life tho.
Les won't let him close enough to announce his team's games anymore... what makes anybody think he'd be ok with him coaching? The Les grudge against Calvin epitomizes his jaded view of things. Can't let go of stuff that happened more than 10 years ago... like Mike D'antoni's only success. He eventually softened his stance enough on Calvin to let him back on the pre/post-game... perhaps he will eventually sour on the 2006 Suns too.
I did not know that he was 70. This stress associated with this Rockets team could easily put him in the grave at an early age.
If Bernie can run for president at 114 years of age, surely Calvin get an interview for the coaching job
