I really wish I was a bandagon fan who could emotionally change allegiances to a winning team. Would make being a sports fan easier. Being a fan tied to the city you were born/raised/reside in and that city being Houston is a damn curse.
69-49 to match last year's record Remember how they sucked on the road but could count on HFA? Not so much this year. 10-12 at home; 43-16 to match last year's home record.
How long is Hinch safe? He's not in a terrible situation like Brad Mills and Bo Porter. It's enough talent on this roster to be better than this.
The team is not developing well under him and that's a big part of the regression as time has gone on with him as manager. It looks like Hinch is still developing as a manager along with the team. This team appears to lack good veteran leadership and he as the manager doesn't appear to be helping in this department either.
Not sayng he's doing well, but Hinch is coming off a good season and good playoff run. He's safe until the middle of next sesson.
Spoiler Yu better watch out! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rangers?src=hash">#Rangers</a> plan for Yu Darvish to make season debut next Sat, assuming tomorrow's rehab start goes well, as I said on <a href="https://twitter.com/FOXSports">@FOXSports</a> telecast.</p>— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) <a href="https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/status/734181829771558912">May 22, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Just kidding. This won't matter to Houston as they are not in contention. Rich get richer!
If backing into the playoffs in a division that nobody wanted to take then blowing a first round series that by all rights was there for the taking is a good season for Hinch then I guess.
Hinch is 1/4 of the way through his second year. His first season was an inarguable success based on all preseason expectations, yet people are choosing to ignore that fact and only blame him when things go wrong. It makes no sense to blame him for struggling to meet expectations while ignoring the fact that his success in his first year created those expectations.
I have to be a moron, i am born and raise puertorrican and follow the Astros forever, never changing team. Some here hate when i am a strong critic of MY TEAM, but what else can we do? This team has gone to the World Series only ONCE. This team was supposed to win the division last year and this year, and NOTHING. We are underachievers. Changes MUST be made, and it all start where???
