Thing about Silas is he has coached and worked with players in a multiple styles (GS and CLE) and systems. Got to have that versatility to coach to your players strengths. D'Antoni hasn't proved he can do that. These days your coach has to be able to do that.

Have to go with the young and old veteran in Silas/Hollins. This could be great for the team.

I'm still trying to get over how JVG wanted the job and we didn't even interview him. And how we were 1st in line for Vogel and Les wouldn't let us interview him either.

1st choice was Thibs. Went to T-Wolves who gave him ultimate power over the entire franchise.
2nd & 3rd was neck & neck between JVG and Vogel.
    4th was Joerger.

See where I'm going with this? Defense. Coaching experience.

Way down from that was Kenny, or Sammie.

    D'Antoni was a giant bucket of DO.NOT.WANT.

Silas scares me because he's been a on&off asst. coach for 15 years. He's never been a head coach. All those years and no one has ever given him the head coach position. It's hard to point to teams he has been a part of and say "Oh that amazing offensive set was a classic Silas play, or Oh the defense in this game....that's all Silas." It's just hard to do that, for me at least.

I actually get that Leslie was not sold on Vogel nor the reunion with JVG, but to not even interview them...you interview Kenny Smith and not those two?? It's crazy to think about, but D'Antoni is just the worst of the worst. Silas is not all that great but paired with Hollins, I'll take him. Players like and respect both!

Feigen on Silas "He graduated from Brown with a double major in Organizational Behavior and Management and in Sociology." That's what a dysfunctional organization needs.

Rockets need the weekend means it will D'Antoni, since they will continue to search for assistants. Also it's not even sure Hollins would want the job. $100 bet, any takers?

The only report I heard was Hollins would be interested in a position if D'Antoni was head coach. The way that was reported made it seem that would be the only way he would be an asst. coach.

So you're correct. We are polling on D'Antoni VS a Silas + Hollins combo that has no legs beneath it.

The CF mob gets it wrong always but would that guarantee Pringles as the right choice?

It feels as if his upside is sky high. Him with Hollins can really be something. People are holding stupid things about him like he hasn't played basketball, etc. ... Neither did Popovich, Thibs, Spoelsta, Vogel, Stotts, etc.

When Woj tweets that it is a Silas/Hollins pairing being considered, I tend to believe it.
