Ok. So assuming he turns this team into a top 10 defense, what are we going to do when he leaves next year. This is why you hire a complete coach as head coach. Not a specialist. That's what an assistant coach is for.

Brings toughness and a "no quit" mentality.

    I like it.

Find another defensive guy or fire MDA and give him the lead.

Whhhhoahhhhh there buddy. Let's just focus on next season 1st. Hell we don't even have a coach yet much less any assistant coaches.

Did Conley like Hollins in Memphis?

Didn't D'Antoni have Steve Clifford as his assistant coach and defensive coordinator once before? Even that didn't make a difference so I doubt Hollins does anything.

I'm just basing it off the current speculation. This is more of a plea to not hire MDA. Think about the future!

This does change everything. We need a guy who won't take $hit from his players and hard nose defense

It won't. You have to have a head coach that is committed to defense -- or alternatively, a roster full of +defenders like the Warriors have.

JVG's teams were so good defensively because they spent long portions of their practices working on it. Do you really think D'Antoni will want to do that?

    I hate Les.

Right there with ya man. D'Antoni? Not. A. Fan.

    Trying to stay positive though.
