    Normally, when we are sitting at .500 and the 8th seed, I am an advocate of staying calm.

    Now it is time to panic.

    We lose out on JVG or one of the other preferred coaches for Les' long-held fever for the flavor of a Pringles, as i have foretold in the flames.

    We lose Howard - a given at this point. Not that upset about this, but will be a bit of a hit to prestige.

    We lose Morey because we hired Pringles over his preference - the latest in terms of Les meddling, and probably the last straw.

    Unless we get good results under Pringles (and the all-offense all-the-time schtick that was fresh under him with the Suns is no longer)....Harden is going to get saddled with the "no defense/blabblah" narrative even worse, regardless of how hard he tries. He probalby leaves when his contract is done for some place that has more upside and a shot at a classic "redemption" narrative - which he can't do here with a coach like D'Antoni.

    Dark, dark days ahead friends. Possibly.

    If I'm Darryl Morey, I would step down. At this point, he's damaging his career and there's nothing he can do to try to fix it himself.

    Pretty on the spot. I tried to justify against the last point but only came to the conclusion that the rocket's offense would have to be so good, they would be a suns vs the rest of the league type for Harden not to want to waste his career here.

    Wish we coulda gotten something out of Dwight though.

    I do know that if I expect the worst, when it turns out not that bad, I am pleasantly surprised.

    And all signs point to losing Harden. Unless he is the end all be all consultant with these moves. Nevertheless, I will continue to be a die hard Rockets fan

    LMAO. The midrange midget brigade and Fire Morey group strikes again. Yes if we just shoot a bunch of midrange shots and kick Morey to the crub we'll become magically better overnight right? :rolleyes:

    Morey is here to stay. Les is here to stay. Threes, layups and FTs are the most efficient shots in the game. Get over it, we've been down this road a thousand times.

    On the bright side, we have a lot of time to turn the corner, get on the same page, have some player only meetings, feel sorry for other teams, etc

    I wondered as well, but repped him because I think it's dead on. I feel the same as the OP. I'm not liking this move at all. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Morey is gone soon.
