Good thread, RR. Definitely at Depression stage. Not sure what "acceptance" looks like. Guess I'll eventually just check in on my lifelong team every couple of weeks, not really hoping for improvement but just kind of like stopping by the long-term care center to see that demented relative who can't even recognize me anymore.
I don't think Les trusts Morey anymore and has inserted himself in the coaching hiring. He want's up tempo GSW ball, however, he doesn't realize that he has Philly players who can't shoot str8.
I was never in grief. How about that? Fans on this board have always been fickle and often paranoid beyond reason. One bad season and off they go with the pitchforks. Over the years, I have learned to ignore and completely tune out these moment-to-moment reactionaries. That being said, I think the smart ones on this board will tell you in the long run all it takes is one good off-season, one good hire, one good stretch to turn around a franchise into contention. Heck, the Warriors worshipers on this board failed to realize one personnel change from Marc Jackson to Steve Kerr is what sparked that team from 51 wins to 67, a title, and now 73 and possibly another.
Rockets fan for life, duno what everyone is tripping about. I'm ready for the draft, summer league, and preseason. Don't have time to worry about things I can't control. Go Rockets!
Apathy. Les turned this franchise into a joke. I don't agree with having the GM run the team, but I can't deny the man has gotten us solid talent. But Les? **** Les.
- No 1st rd pick - Pringles is our soon-to-be coach - Dwight sucks and is leaving - humiliated in the playoffs - worst record in a decade - still have Brewer
Apathy for sure. Which is absolutely the worst stage. Don't even know if I consider myself a fan of this garbage anymore.
Resignation for me. I accept that we're about to head into a rebuilding phase. That's part of professional sports. What I'm resigned to though is that we're stuck with an owner who either has no clue how to rebuild or no interest or patience for doing it.
Same with me. This feels like when I stopped being a fan of the Astros after they decided to completely dismantle the franchise and tank. I just don't even care.
