I swear this false hope is like the beaten wife syndrome. No matter how many times he says he doesn't want to come here and new thread pops up about him every offseason
Your boy Daryl is gonna try to suit up cap space next year and see if it will win us some games. Also, there are some early reports that flexibility will be starting at the 4 when he brings in no one worthy of the starting gig.
Thanks for putting (Ty) spoiler at the end. Otherwise I would have had no idea who you were talking about. For the love of God will someone please lock this thread up. #1 he's not coming And #2 he's not coming And finally #3 HE. IS. NOT. COMING! And the final nail in that coffin was hammered in LAST offseason. We've known this for forrrrrevvvvvverrrrr.
Llull is destined to replace Conley, should MC take his leave, in Grizzville. (Fearless prediction: now, what would he bring back in trade? Hopefully more than a 'mere' 2nd.)
No one wants to talk about the one benefit of getting MDA? He could possibly convince Llull and Gentile to finally come to the Rockets this summer. He's ridiculously clutch at last second shots. He's passionate. He's got a high motor. He even moves a little like Nash. Make this happen D'Antoni! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/OOZNK5lJU8U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Gentile looks to be decent. Might have trouble with the speed of the game and his shot release looks too slow right now. It can be worked on. Looks very confident though.
Yep, i already said this days ago, and may be the only positive for us in my view...same argument can be made for Messina though.
I'd love to have Llull ... but let's keep optimism in check. Nando De Colo was just the Euroleauge MVP ... and he wasn't exactly much of much of anythign with the Spurs as a 25/26 year old.
Not the only positive now that i think about it. I'm really starting to warm up to Cap and Harrell holding down the 5 and 4 positions as really athletic floor running bigs. The key is that they love to run up and down the floor. It would allow us to save money and not have such high expectations either. Might be a really fun team to watch. They both have good defensive potential as well. Bringing in a guy like Jared Dudley to be our QRich as well. Would love to get Troy Daniels back. Allowing Bev and Ariza to come off the bench is a very positive thing especially for slowing down the opponents bench scoring allowing us to keep a blazing scoring pace when it's starters vs starters. Of Course i'd love Batum to be our Marion, but i don't know if he would come. I'm trying to think realistically, and i don't see any of the big free agents finding us attractive. I've exited my depression and i'm now trying to see the light and think positive.
True and i feel relieved to think about a team with no expectations. I start to find positives in it. Maybe it's the kind of team Harden feels more comfortable playing with and leading? Maybe it will see Capela and Harrell turn into beasts? Maybe Llull is the reason they turn into beasts? We all had fun watching Harden, Lin and Parsons. Sure, they lost to OKC. But they were fun to watch and they were so young together, they might have grown into something more if we just allowed it. Maybe we stop star chasing and allow a young team to grow together the next 3 seasons? Maybe Harden stays because he's having fun, being the only main building block and he gets full max here? Maybe i'm in denial and i should be on suicide watch? I don't think so. What a terrible, and unbearable season we just went through. Talent and all. It was just unwatchable. I'm ready to move on to excitement.
