What have you watched with MDA coaching and new players on the roster to say "are just not watchable"? NONE of that has happened yet so we don't know what the man will do nor what the roster will look like, but yet most are on here passing judgement like its already been 3 years in and we have missed the playoffs with him as coach. C'Mon people. Can we wait and see what the roster and style of play will look like? Or even who the coaching staff will be around MDA before we pass judgement?

I guess the Rockets need a defensive minded assistant coach. Hire Bickerstaff

I dont know why Les wont give a young guy a shot. He always has to hire a former head coach. The last time the Rockets gave an assistant coach a chance, they won a couple of championships.

One, as I noted, they'll probably suck me back in. If it ends up magically working... well that'd be amazing.

    But!

It's like the Kings. Absolutely, the product on the floor drives much of how their fans probably feel. But at this point its beyond that for them. Their organization just makes dumb move after dumb move. And when you consider the taxpayers generally bear the brunt of keeping a team in town, and the fans bear the brunt of providing annual revenues, its disheartening and impossible to continue to be a fan of that after so long.

The Rockets don't have that long history of moronic moves.

But they're certainly getting close from a head-scratching perspective.

There is not a single soul on the planet who anywhere before 2 weeks ago would have told you MDA is the right coach for this team... MUCH LESS ANY NBA TEAM.

Maybe Les knows something the rest of the world doesn't.

Hire Drexler so the world doesn't need to hear his insightful commentaries any longer:grin:

D'Antoni better not lose players, or lose games. I will support the Rockets as long as they don't fly like the Oilers.

Well, I guess that's true. But JBB was never more than the interim coach. I think it was clear the Rockets weren't really sold on Bickerstaff.

Great post. I also think that just getting Dwight out of the locker room will give us a huge boost, even if Capela is his replacement. Reading that ESPN article made me finally realize what a complete idiot this guy is. Not wanting to take shots from 10-12 feet out because you're afraid you'll miss them and people won't like you? SERIOUSLY?!? I was happy when we signed the guy, but at this point I think getting him off the roster will help us more than any coaching change will.

.56 x 82 = 46 games and sneaking into the playoffs again! YAY!

    j/k

I'm hoping the roster shapes up to suit this coach. But Gawd, please figure out something for the defense.

The reason you don't trade Harden now is because we still don't know how the next two offseasons will play out. What if the Rockets are able to sign 2 or 3 quality free agents this summer? Or if they can't, what if instead they acquire other teams' expiring contracts(there is a minimum cap threshold they must meet after all) along with future draft picks or young assets? What if they do have a bad 2016-17 season but wind up striking gold next summer in the lottery? What if the cap goes up yet again and they are able to land a star free agent to pair with Harden?

So many things can happen between now and next summer. Harden is easily a Top 10 talent in the NBA. You don't get rid of him unless you absolutely must because he's a lock to walk at the end of his contract.

clown decision from a clown team. i've been watching the Rockets less and less and I just don't care any more until Les and Morey are gone. By that time I'll be gone from Houston as well.

I'm starting to get into baseball. I'll try watching the Astros more and going to their games, which are cheaper than Rockets' games.

"We will take our time in deciding who is the next head coach of the Rockets"

"I believe Houston is a top tier destination for Dorant"

"Dwert, I know more about winning than you. You ain't getting the ball, we want more bricks from the 3"

"We'll just hire D'antoni and make the Rockets great again!"
