Someone's getting fired... On another note, if Manchester United had just tied in that previous match...they could play Champions League next year still. Crazy. They must be so pissed off.
Think of Rafa Benitez. 5 months ago he was the manager of Real Madrid, now he's a manager of a second division club in Newcastle. Can't make this stuff up.
I dunno who's to blame for the fiasco, but the upper management as a whole has been completely incompetent over the last 3 years. Board of Directors all the way down to the manager. It's horrible. United playing a warm-up match for the FA cup today. LVG is surely going to be out this summer with all these Mourinho rumors popping up daily.
A few more hours till LFC makes a stunning comeback to the CL! Didn't know Sevilla has such a kickass record in the EL in recent years though. Cray.
Sevilla has won 2 out of the last 10 matches in all competitions. Not pretty. Liverpool should win this comfortably.
I can't find the article that I read this morning but it turns out the money is actually better for the winning EL team than in the CL, too.
WTF are the refs watching? An intentional hand ball in the box by Sevilla defender and no call. Not only should it have been a penalty, it should've been a red, too.
If Liverpool can't pull this back, do they still play in the Europa League next year as the runner up? Or do they miss European football altogether?
Don't know what would've changed but it certainly would've looked different if Liverpool gets one or both of those obvious handballs in the first. If called correctly, Sevilla would've been playing with 10 for most of the game from behind.
Looks like I got a gift for jinxing teams this year. Hmmm, gotta say Crystal Palace should win Saturday's game comfortably.
Well... that was disappointing, but having been a long time Rockets and LFC fan, I've sort of expected disappointment. So it doesn't hurt as much. What sucks is that no European matches for next year means that LFC won't be attracting any talent for next season. Just like how Durant won't be coming to the Rockets.
