Sweet! A spread offense with a roster full of awful shooters.

    ....this should end very well.

Show me a quote from Les or Morey saying Les primarily hires the coaches. I don't care about narratives from CF Morey fanboys

Mauri got rid of Adelman, Mauri hired McFail, Mauri asked JBB to finish off the season and Mauri will ultimately be responsible for the new coaching hire.

Suns lead league in 3pt shooting 4 straight years under Dantoni. But they also had an amazing shooting roster. Rockets have no great shooters right now

Does DM read these posts? If so, does the fact that NOT ONE PERSON supports this hire have any effect on his decision making? If so, what % does it effect the decision?

JVG hasn't failed as a coach in 10 years

D'Antoni has failed as a coach consistently for a decade

Umm, we lost in the first round Adelman's first season here...

Also, JVG didn't have Brooks, Lowry, Scola, Landry, and Artest. You think Adelman would've led the 06-07 team to the 2nd round?

    I'll say this

If we do hire Pringles, I hope we suck so bad that both Mauri and Pringles are fired by Christmas

Hopefully we then get in a proper GM who respects coaching (and knows basketball at a more basic level than just numbers and spreadsheets) and we start rebuilding properly

Can you provide a quote that says Morey does all hiring/firing?

Hahah, well now that you mention it.. Maybe Brewer could break the record for most misses or something (at the fastest rate ever). :) lol, if only this was some secret game strategy

Yep. And Alvin Gentry has been a failure as a head coach everywhere else he's been. He even managed to underachieve way worse than Monty Williams ever allegedly did when he took over the Pelicans last season.

So what does this tell us? That the Suns' run of success last decade was almost certainly due more to Steve Nash's greatness than Mike D'Antoni's coaching ability.

The only explanations I can think of for this hire are that Les and Morey A) want someone who will run a fast-paced offense, B) won't demand any input on personnel decisions, and C) won't have the clout to demand a Scotty Brooks type of contract(5 years, 35 mil) due to his last 2 coaching stints being miserable failures.

In other words, this decision has nothing to do with winning championships or building towards that.

Stein is the person who said Morey wants JVG and Les is not convinced. What evidence do you have to the contrary, other than your own speculation?

I'm still believing this is about getting Dwight to not opt in to next season. They want to reclaim that cap space and either sign him cheap or get somebody else. And it would be worth $8-12 million to Les to make that happen.

I don't believe MDA is the choice until Les actually hired him or I get good intel that he is the choice. Feigen doing an about-face today on MDA just wreaks of a planted narrative by Rox FO.
