One thing's for sure MDA is truly a master in drawing inbounding plays.

That requires the right players, not coaching.

I could wee Miami trying to trade for an expiring Dwight if they lose hassan. It wouldn't be great value but we could get value.

IIRC the edict when getting rid of JVG was that he wanted us to run and play more like The Suns.

Harden being a homeless man's Nash as his shooting is worse, his ability to run an offense is above average but not great as Nash's.

Harden is better at scoring in other ways but that is it.

Yep. Leslie wants to see that big scoreboard light up every night. He knows from experience that JVG talks a lot about wanting an uptempo offense, but delivers a stagnant halfcourt low-scoring game. D'Antoni brings the points that Les loves so dearly.

Daryl Morey isn't going to pick the next coach.

James Harden isn't going to pick the next coach.

Les Alexander will pick the next coach, just like he always has.

I'm very much against hiring D'Antoni, except as a top assistant coach running the offense, which I'm sure he has no interest in being. Do you have an opinion about the guy, Batman? Particularly compared to Van Gundy.

Mike D'Antoni is still an extremely elite offensive mind in basketball, possibly the best. He is so good at it, that like Larry Brown, players will respect his ability.

The problem I have is that he is just a really bad human being.

Except he did exactly that in Philly this year. Maybe a better offer will land him as an offensive assistant here on JVG's staff.

I actually think that might be what this second interview is all about. Word is out that Morey's guy is JVG and that Les doesn't want him because he remembers JVG's slow-down offense from his first stint with us. Maybe Les said, "You want Van Gundy as coach? Then being me an A-list offensive minded coach as his lead assistant."

I know why our defense sucks.

Even the owner of the team hate defense... LOL

I feel sad that Le$'s beautiful basketball = no defense + quick 3pt.

That's what I meant. Why would he leave Philly for a similar position? More money and being on the staff of a better team? It's possible, I guess. He could be very good for the Rockets in that role.

He also said JVG is also a serious candidate..Thank God.

I think JVG will win easily because of our defense

Gotcha. Yeah, more money and a better team would probably get his attention. Philly is going to suck for another two years before they see if the Hinkie project pays off, and Pringles ain't getting any younger.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your co-coaches, Jeff Van Gundy and Mike D'Antoni. One for defense, the other for offense!

oh yeah, and welcome back Lin? LOF and LOH go nuts
