It still makes no sense because the Lakers are still the Lakers in LA with 3 young players as assets and now the #2 pick. They are more of a threat to signing big free agents than Boston.
BECAUSE LA is the real competitor in our conference and a rival. Who cares about an eastern conference team.
the 4 #1 picks when the team with the highest odds to win the lottery actually won the lottery were iverson, lebron, dwight, and towns. so whoever is picked #1 will apparently be very good.
Meh, the Lakers are a semi joke right now, the two Buss guys are not like their father...in fact, who's the last great free agent who signed with the Lakers? Artest? Anyway nope, cause if they trade Russell AND Randle (one of them won't be enough for a star) they'll be without players on the roster, even if they trad for, let's say Butler, who's going to play with Butler, Ingram, Swaggy P, Lou Williams? Lol The Celtics have a better core of role players, a better coach, a better gm...just a better organization overall than the Lakers...don't forget the mess they did recruiting Aldridge last year...they're a joke. Maybe the only player i can see them get is Boogie if the Kings are going to trade him.
I can't take your opinion about the Lakers seriously if you think that Jeanie Buss, their president, is a guy.
With all this talk about the Lakers looking to trade their pick, I think it would be absolutely foolish to do that. I think they really wanted that number 1 pick and now that they don't have it they're going to be fielding offers and whatnot, but they need to go all-in on the youth movement. Ingram, Russell, and Randle is not a bad core to build around (not as good as the TWolves, but competitive). Jim Buss is probably going to be the driving force to trade the pick off because of his silly promise about making a contending team within a time-frame or else he'll resign. If the Lakers make that shortsighted promise the focal point of their decision-making then they will be basement dwellers for years still, IMO.

Oh lordy lordy lordayyyyyyyy They're backkkkkkkkk! With D'Angel and Brandon Ingram , the Lakers fill the void left in the league with kobe leaving. No one in this league comes close to touching him, bunch of charisma less drones. Let it be known that henceforth, it has been declared in front of all you losers by his ayatollah, Ingram >>>>> Simmons. Expect the 6ers to make the wrong pick. Anyone to Philly is a waste, regardless of their talent level. D Y N A S T Y
