    If Les gets a hard on from watching D'Antoni's teams in Phoenix shouldn't he interview the REAL coach of that team?

    D'Antoni is not even good enough to be the head coach of the 76ers, r u kidding me? this man's coaching record after the Suns era is atrocious, what is wrong with this organization?

    To be fair, they had that in McHale's early years... but lost it when Sampson left for UH in April 2014. That's the problem with the "strong assistant on one side" model -- it can work, but it's so hard to make it sustainable over the long-haul because of the likelihood of said assistant(s) riding the wave of good press to a HC job elsewhere.

    That said, Gary Kubiak did just win a Super Bowl with Wade Phillips, so... ;)

    Yep, i'd rather do that. You interview Kenny Smith. Might as well interview Steve Nash and surround him with veteran former head coaches as his assistants. Nash is loved and respected around the league too, so i doubt he'd have a hard time convincing vet coaches to work under him.

    The Los Angeles Lakers, in a surprising move, announced Monday morning that they have signed former Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni to replace Mike Brown as head coach.

    In a statement released by the team, Lakers spokesperson John Black said team owner Jerry Buss, executive vice president Jim Buss and general manager Mitch Kupchak were "unanimous that D'Antoni was the best coach for the team at this time."

    "I love PJ but I'm very excited about D'Antoni," Kobe Bryant told ESPN early Monday.

    but really, if Les forces Morey to hire MDA he should quit as a GM, and I might join him and "quit" being a rockets fan...
